This is so great. I'm happy that I found something so beautiful and noble as this project. Thank you for this. Free quality education is something that makes me happy. I hope that one day I might contribute as much as you guys to the world.

Almost first. Funny this video comes out now. Last week and this week, my 4th graders have started investigating plants. We started with fruits that we dissected to count the seeds. Apples, tomatoes, green beans, peppers, avocados. Kids love it. Great opportunity to discuss properties of seeds, graph their findings and talk about life cycles.

Thanks! Ive actually been puzzling over how to show natural selection to elementary kids. Something with random mutation, non random selection and reproduction. I heard an idea about a paper airplane. You throw a bunch of them that are somewhat different (wing length, size, etc), the ones that went farthest have "offspring" that look like their parents plus the occasional mutation. Over time the paper airplane species should evolve to glide quite far. Seems cool. But time consuming. Any ideas how to show natural selection more quickly, but still with something the kids can manipulate?

Did I just watch multiple plant abortions before my very eye? He takes the baby plants that are forming in their wombs and then shreds them open with not even a hint at the terror he is doing. Wow. I have only been around one other person who did abortions, and they were exactly the same way as this guy, but it was plants they were doing it too. I am traumatised.
