Ok, I just have to say this. I love the way you teach! All the other videos are so difficult to follow. Thank you so much. First time crocheter here so I've been overwhelmed.
This is the best tutorial I’ve ever seen. Straight to the point no extra talk. I love it. And you made it so easy. I’ve watch plenty of videos to make this hat and could not figure out how to decrease to save my life. Now I know how. Thank you
I was looking for a summer hat project. Im going to try this in a linen/cotton blend yarn I purchased from Premier months ago. Thank you. This pattern is much easier to follow than the one found on a very popular yarn site. Its also much denser and does not require elastic. Once again thank you. I work with elderly/disabled ladies. They love when I make them hats.
I finally made the beret. It works up quickly and is absolutely beautiful. Will be adding it to my top 3 lists of hats to make. Thank you so much for sharing.
The Bulky Yarn makes the hat so much more enjoyable to wear! Directions easily followed too. I made one while I was watching t.v. the other night. Cute too!
I love your tutorials. I'm a beginner and I watch your videos because when I hear your voice it's so soothing till I'm not afraid to try new stitches and make new things. I love your tutorials on tunisan crochet. xoxo xoxoxoxoxo
I wanted to crochet a beret for a long time now. But not getting an easy tutorial. The way you explained, so easily and beautifully, makes me want to try it straight away, And I definitely will... Love and hugs
This is beautiful. I am so ready to make this beret. All I can hear is prince singing that song. Thank you for sharing your ideas and your gift with the world of crocheters.
OMG! I love Prince, love the song, and love berets. As always, I appreciate the quality of your projects. Thank you for providing these creative and lovely projects. I will definitely be doing this one. 😁
Just did it in 1 day! Thanks for the concise and comprehensive tutorial. I made some adjustments on the measurement because my yarn and hook size is different but result is still the same. ^^
I got it immediately I watched it and it is so fast and easy for me to do am so happy immediately I finished doing it which is my first time of knitting Beret😄😄😇😇☺☺
I have just finished the beret. Really OMG! I also crochet a little thing (I am not sure what it is called) for the top of the hat which I have seen before store-bought berets. It came out so professional. Thank you for this basic, very easy understandable and short video 🌺
Thank you for the tutorial, this came out very nicely. It measures 24” circumference when finished - I used a 4 weight. Too big for me but I made it for my mother in-law and her head is bigger. I may have to add one more row of decrease to be a better fit though. I do love how it looks, thank you.
I love listening to you; how you do this so precisely and give the instructions and charts and have such a quick video. I will make this for sure. God bless you ❤️
I finally understand how to make a magic circle because of you!!! THANK YOU!!!! ❤️ also my beret came out fabulous, I had left over yarn and I needed a quick hat and I did this in a day🤩
This is a beautiful hat!! Also, a question if you haven’t already answered it - How do you accommodate for a larger head? On the top section, do you just add a few more rows? How many more rows per inch beyond the size in your tutorial? Thanks!
Although I don't like sc, I'll try this since the pattern I have is for a different yarn. Plus I want to add my poppy flower to it. Thanks for sharing.
Love the beret. I have just finished making it. But I rarely wear hats and am not good at styling the hat to my head. You have it looking perfect.. How did you do it.
Hi Alysha, this is lovely - you look so good in hats!❤️ You make it seem so easy I'm going to have to make one 😉 (I like the diagram, I noticed you said double crochet for row 6, & the diagram was SC ... but I'm from the UK so that made perfect sense to me 😁) Love your channel ❤️
She actually misspoke when she said Double Crochet. Good catch! I know the terminology is different in certain parts of the world. I used to get so confused 😂
Love the beret. Will put this in my to due bag. Thank you for linking it in your review of the stitch counting crochet hook on 12/20/21. Had to click the link 😂
Your tutorial is very helpful , could you please let me know if this will fit head size 23 inches?thank you in advance. Please do reply. Oh yes i also made turban hat for my grandson.
You make good and informative videos! How can I convert your beret to fit a men's head? I want to surprise him with a Tam o Shanter type beret for his upcoming Scottish bagpiping parade. Thanks for always making my day with your perky/lively tutorials!!!
Don't know if you noticed this but when you were doing your chart for the increase but you said double crochet instead of single crochet which was what you were doing. It's okay because double crochet is single in the UK
Hi! I’m not sure if you’re still responding to comments on this video, but I’ve got a question- how big (circumference) is the opening of the hat once it’s completed? I’m trying to figure out if I’ll need to make some personal adjustments while using this pattern 😅
Did you follow the gauge provided in the pattern? Everybody's crochet tension is different. gauge allows you to adjust your hook size to match the designer. Gage watches are very important.
I used a four weight it came out very cute- but it also came out to 24” circumference. Too big for my head but made it for my mother in-law and her head is bigger than mine. Debating on doing another decrease round to compensate. Still a lovely hat, very cute.
New subscriber. Thought id look and see what youve got here and i am interested in your channel. Ive forgotten my yarn as i was in a hurry this morning but i will be making some of these lovely crafts.
@@LittlejohnsYarn thank you so much! I did the first circle and I hope to finish it off today! Will try to write experience later but for now its nice and simple! Tysm
Somehow I followed this pattern to a T, using what appears to be the same thickness yarn, and when it got to the part where you said it should be 10.5” inches roughly, mine was like 13-14” 😂 what have I done haha
nice tutorial. but the only thing that threw me off was at 4:45 you said "double crochet into each stitch and slip stitch to join". but in the PDF there's no mention of double crochet or slip stitching at the end of each row. Might want to correct that in the future.
Hai, I love the pattern but I'm very new to this. My last round was the one with 18 stitches and then increase. I believe my yarn is even bulkier then yours because I'm already at the 10.5 inches, can i stop now or would you still recommend I'd go to the 20 stitches and then increase?
I recommend that you stop there & start decreasing. Then do your even stitch rows, followed by decreasing. You will know when to stop decreasing when the hat fits your head
So I was going along good, then I took my marker out for row 10(8+my 2 together increase)and I got screwed up. So what is the sc count after this?🤦🏼♀️
In the first decrease row, how do you measure after how many stitche syou have to decrease My yarn is thinner than yours so my 10 inches complete on more rows than yours.
I tried this but my baret is very small even a child can't fit. I will try this again and count my stitches well. The most important thing is I have got how it is done...
Best tutorial!! No silly music or cute nonsense talk. Straight to the point.
Ok, I just have to say this. I love the way you teach! All the other videos are so difficult to follow. Thank you so much. First time crocheter here so I've been overwhelmed.
I've been looking for a simple beret. I'm so excited to make this. Thank you so much. Wonderful tutorial and so clear. Your a good teacher.
This is the best tutorial I’ve ever seen. Straight to the point no extra talk. I love it. And you made it so easy. I’ve watch plenty of videos to make this hat and could not figure out how to decrease to save my life. Now I know how. Thank you

A fabulous tutorial!
I love you pattern on the beret. I just need to stop allot, just fast.
Bonito , this is the same like Paris beret right.
I made this hat following the pdf and it is huuuuge! I look like toad from super Mario 🥸

Hi , what is the diameter of the hat before you started decreasing ? Thanks ❤️
Hello: You are the real deal; please tell me the ply of the wool that you use. Can I use Knitpick Cotton or is it too big? Again Thankyou, A
Is it all single crochet or continue double crochet like u were explaining?
single crochet. Sorry about that

Mine was super big too. Lol I followed to the T as well. I’m downsizing to like row 16 to see how that works.
Mine came out huge too so I am starting over from the beginning with a smaller hook to see if that helps
Awesome....very helpful....thank you.....

nice tutorial. but the only thing that threw me off was at 4:45 you said "double crochet into each stitch and slip stitch to join". but in the PDF there's no mention of double crochet or slip stitching at the end of each row. Might want to correct that in the future.
Hey quick question, why did you do frontloop at the end of your 27th round?
Hai, I love the pattern but I'm very new to this. My last round was the one with 18 stitches and then increase. I believe my yarn is even bulkier then yours because I'm already at the 10.5 inches, can i stop now or would you still recommend I'd go to the 20 stitches and then increase?

This is gorgeous. How long did it take to make this beret hat?
I made this but I don’t like how the hexagon shape looks on my head. How to make this round?
Oh my...earworm 🤭
Hello: I love your instructions but my beret alway comes out too big. Please help. A
Do you join your rows or continue on?
In the first decrease row, how do you measure after how many stitche syou have to decrease
My yarn is thinner than yours so my 10 inches complete on more rows than yours.
I tried this but my baret is very small even a child can't fit. I will try this again and count my stitches well. The most important thing is I have got how it is done...
I made a yellow or gold beret.
How do you size the beret?
Hello, beginner crocheter here. Where exactly do you put the stitch marker, i can't see properly?
The very first stitch of each row
