I know everyone loves Thanos, and says he's the best MCU villain. But I personally prefer Bullseye. In Daredevil Season 3 he was so perfect. He stole every scene he was in. Especially with his backstory being so tragic and interesting. Daredevil the show continues to be so amazing, and is still the best thing in the entire MCU in my opinion. It's the most consistent for me. The tone isn't overly humorous and overly dark. It perfectly balances both while mostly focus on the characters, and being realistic. But by far my favorite episode is Episode 4 of this season. That prison fight scene was brilliant! Great video!
Harry Potter Fanboy One thing that interests me us that as soon as Fisk got Bullseye on his side he pretty much started to ignore him, which further lead to Dex's mental breakdown.
AdvancedPotterheadWebs I loved bullseye in this show. Especially that one scene where Dex was working at a suicide hotline center and he basically hinted at that one guy to take his frustrations out on others instead of harming themselves. Amazing
Couldn't agree more with everything you said in the video. Daredevil is the greatest superhero show ever. This season just made it my favorite superhero show (it was Legion earlier)
I lovw Legion, but I don't really see it as a superhero show, at least not the first season. I know it is a superhero, but the show is so crazy and psychological that it feels like an entire new type of show.
I watched all three seasons after your last video and man I am so glad i did. There is something so primal about this character specially the exchange between red and the punisher “I side with red on this one because well I am not crazy lol” . Season three was just so thrilling specially the prison scene it was just beyond any show or even movie I have watched since mad max fury road. You could see the brutality and savagness of William Fisk’s world and how daredevil has to punch his way thro it.
Yo, let's get some appreciation for Wilson Fisk. IMO, Vincent D'Onofrio's Fisk is the best character of this season. His powerful monologues, his perfect rise to becoming the Kingpin was nothing less than brilliant. I'd pay three times the admission price to see him taking on Spiderman.
I genuinely believe this season of DD is the single best piece of television this year. If not one of the best of all time. Not going to lie, the major pull for me for these shows is the fight scenes (then the acting at a close second). But this show had it all for me and it is the only season of the show which i wanter to ration even though all the episodes are open to binge. So yeah, I just finished episode 6 but i still stand by my claim And can we just take a moment to appreciate that prison scene...
Its crazy to think that when they were introducing nadeem, I thought it was a show mistake and I switched to another show and was like wtf is he doing here, but at the end, man, at the end, its one of the best story arcs of all time, while bullseye is by far my favourite characters, nadeem was something that every single piece of film strives to be
Great video! I have not enjoyed watching a season of television as much as I enjoyed watching this one in a long time. I thoroughly loved almost every aspect of it. Honestly, some of my favorite parts were aspects that I just wasn't expecting. I knew that Charlie Cox and my boy Vincent would be great, but so was everyone else. Deborah Ann Woll nails it as Karen, who used to be my least favorite character (mainly due to writing), but she's a badass in this season and Woll's acting - my god, her acting. And as you mentioned, Bullseye is the best. His backstory and entire character is so tragic - easily one of my favorite comic book villains featured in a movie or TV show. But above all else, I love how they treated this like a character-driven show that just happened to feature super-powered people. In my opinion, that's why Daredevil works so well. What an amazing show!
Excellent video Roby! I completely agree, Daredevil is and always will be the pinnacle of superhero television. Season 3... My god! I loved it so much! Like you, it's my favorite of the seasons of Daredevil so far and by far the best season of the Netflix shows. To me, these are the holy quadrilogy of live action superhero adaptations: Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight, Marvel's Daredevil, and Logan.
But everybody saw what happened to him. He is in that refrigerated chamber with Dex's girl and the guy who stabbed Kingpin in prison, I'm pretty sure they make Dex open the plastics that covered them for us to notice those 2 ended up there.
@@MsLucy4ever that wasn't Melvin, those were just the two guys who were putting up the plastic before they killed Julie. Fisk probably didn't want any loose ends so he had them killed
The ending bit where you said that DD wouldn't be cancelled aged terribly bad... I miss this show, holy shit. People have got to watch this. It is so much better than most of the hit shows around...
I'm pretty sure Charlie Cox did use a double for that scene. They transitioned a few times while he was rolling around on the floor, apparently. I just know cuz I was reading a piece about it and they referred to a double.
I definitely agree that Bullseye and Daredevil are parallels in this season but for a different reason. I think Bullseye is like Daredevil if Daredevil didn't have a support system, such as Karen, Foggy, Father Lantom, etc.
yeah..i agree with you bro....the show was heavily influenced by Frank Miller's 'entire' run...not just Born Again.....and heck..DD Miller run ia literally one of the best things to ever grace comics
Dope review. The hallway scene did use stunt doubles btw, but the bulk of the choreo was performed by Charlie Cox. I think there were only 1 (or 2) instances when the stunt double performed Matt's role - both times the camera shows his profile from behind and cleverly hides his face. Still Cox really took it up a notch this time. Apparently the final shoot that made it into the show came after he had a heavy lunch lol, but it still worked out.
NO matter how many times I watch that last scene of Matt and Fisk from the last episode I get chills. I just wanna give the writers and showrunners a hug for this.
I loved the Daredevil comics as a child but when the show first came out, I was unimpressed with the first episode and gave up before watching the iconic second episode. I recently gave it another try and fell in love so hard that when I got to episode 10 of season 3, I was so bummed that it would soon be over that I started watching The Defenders to delay the inevitable. Sadly, The Defenders is almost as unwatchable as Iron Fist.
Great to see your appreciation of the show, I love it too, my favorite moment was the prison fight and the Fisk Montage in parallel with Matt's and favorite episode is the second one
Thank you for your optimism. DareDevil is also my favorite MCU franchise and I am worried about it's cancellation once Disney has their own streaming service. Its nice to hear someone not talk like it has already been cancelled.
I loved Matt's arc with faith, because its very similar to issues I myself have at times with my own faith. Bit of a personal note, but they did it flawlessly and it really rang true to me
yes man the opening Titel is too awesome and i get the same feeling as you were saying. they have nailed each every season and that opening track. hope they continue to do so
Cox did use stunt doubles for the prison fight though. They switched him out on several occasions. I mean he probably did a lot himself, but not everything. "Cox did about 80 percent of the sequence himself, but even he had his limitations, which meant they had to implement what are called “Texas switches” - moments when an actor leaves and a stunt double appears. That required some delicate and lightning-quick choreography, which the stunt team started practicing even before the main rehearsal. “The stunt guys came up with some very clever ways of doing it,” Lopez recalls. “For example, when he’s in the hallway where the police guys come at him and start hitting him with the baton, one moment it’s Brewster, and then he gets hit with the baton a bunch of times. He falls down, he gives one kick, which is him, and then the second kick is given by Charlie, sort of laying next to him, and then Charlie gets up. So there’s these constant Texas switches happening throughout the oner.” Source: www.vulture.com/2018/10/daredevil-season-3-one-take-fight-scene.html?fbclid=IwAR0pVVrZkFfaJ53tyz_fV2khW18mpfmvFECSEm5QLeA_KqfN8szTx5oDQvE
Am I the only one who actually prefers the season one costume that he also used this season to the more comic accurate devil suit? I don't know why I prefer it I just do. Although I think the fact that it covers his eyes makes it really obvious that he's a blind guy, and some kind of armor and helmet would have made a lot of sense against Bullseye's projectiles.
Nah, I prefer them too. And the scarf. There's just something about him completely covering his eyes and half his face that I absolutely love. It's so unique and I also love how the black suit looks like something everyone could just buy. And it kinda fits better into the show.
@@davidmayberry3190 I think it's cause show's Matt doesn't seem like the guy to be into suits enough to want details like horns. He just wants to get the job done and safety can be accomplished without the 'devil look' so it didn't seem fully natural for him to request a red suit with horns. It's probably true to the comics, it's just the feeling I get when I saw him wearing it for the first time - protection sure, but the visual of it didn't seem like something Murdock would be into
@@anam00090Same. I for sure prefer the black suit's aesthetic. However, the red suit is such a powerful tool because it symbolizes Matt's pride (both good and bad) in being Daredevil and hope to be able to better Hell's Kitchen thru his vigilantism. Losing that suit and then ultimately rejecting it showed how far he'd fallen in his own estimation and that his hope was shattered. He for sure needs the armor but watching him get so torn up because of the lack was really good and made his struggle that much more brutal. The black outfit definitely feels more real in that world, tho.
The 'long take' in this season was absolutely sublime. And an important thing to note with it that many people overlook, is that this is the first long take scene yet where Matt Murdock's face is not covered up. We see his EYES and how he of course doesn't look at people. We see Charlie Cox IN THE BIGGEST FIGHT SCENE OF THE SEASON AND HE'S DOING WITHOUT EVEN DIRECTLY LOOKING AT THE PEOPLE THAT HE'S WORKING WITH!!! That is amazing and some stellar choreography.
About the hallway fight, there are no hidden cuts in there but a stunt double was used. If you watch close, you can see when they switch between the 2 seamlessly which is done at least a couple of times through the fight.
“ I’m sorry, That sounds hard.... really hard” That line grew more and more bone chilling every time he said it. And every time he said it, my smile grew wider and wider
He actually did have a stunt double during the 11 one-take. They specifically talk about it when they switch etc in an interview (and you can also figure it out based on the footage.)
9:13 I suppose that's incorrect. We don't get to see Matt Murdock's face not until he lays slowly in that room. Meaning that they used a stunt double for Charlie for a short time.
Netflix has a page to request TV shows or movies under Help Center (in the drop down menu for your account). Write to them if you want season 4. It's too good to not have another round.
literally in like 2 minutes of research I've found the director of the episode in an interview with Collider saying there were more than one stunt double switches. they are pretty obvious. "The first thing we did was to go to the jail-it was like the day before Christmas, actually, or two days before Christmas-and me and [Gary Ray Stearns], our stunt coordinator and his team, and Christopher LaVasseur the cinematographer, the three of us we went out there, the whole morning, just walking through the whole space. Trying to come up with some sort of plan, an idea of the journey, having in mind that there would be some Texas switches involved for Charlie and [stunt double Chris Brewster], and also for the camera and sound man." collider.com/daredevil-season-3-interview-alex-garcia-lopez/
This season was fucking amazing! By far the best show I’ve ever watched, the only nitpick I have (and might I add it’s extremely minor) is how Dex was able to kill his coach with a baseball, I know baseballs can hurt but he was just a kid it also had to bounce off a pole to hit the coach so that takes away momentum and even if it was a fairly hard hit, you’d think that the human skull would be strong enough to keep the coach from getting killed by the ball
Just one thing; he did use a stunt double in the 11 minute shot. You can see the double switch in and out once, the entire time covering his face while fighting. He has shorter, darker hair.
For me, Agents of Shield is still on the top. But season 3 is so masterfully directed, acted, and written that I cannot deny that it is one of the best seasons of any show I have watched (or will watch).
They actually used a stunt double and you can see when it’s Charlie Cox and when it’s the double. There are moments he disappears from the frame for 1 or 2 seconds and that’s when they switch. In my opinion it is even more impressing than Charlie doing all the stunts. Managing to pull off constant switches between the actor and the stunt double in a 11 minute single take shot shows just how high quality this show was.
Yeah. But in Prison Escape Scene, it was all one take and Everything was done by Charlie Cox. Makers of the Show said it Somewhere Which is just Incredible
For the record, yes, Charlie Cox DOES use a stunt double at least once. It's called a "cowboy switch" where he'll fall into a room or behind an operating table where the stuntman is waiting to come out or vice versa. It's impressive enough not to notice but it's there if you know what you're looking for
I have a Masters in Educational Theatre, I love Theatre of the Oppressed and Augusto Boal! Peeps out there who don't know about it should look into it!
0:58 to 1:01, what MCU is doing these days, shooting upside down, these footage shows the Cross is upside down, similarly we saw one scene in Black Panther when the villain is about to be crown, the trailer of Infinity war 2 starting upside down, and one more tent scene in Captain Marvel, this shows may be Evil is making our world upside down
I hate to ruin it for you, but Charlie Cox did use a stunt double during that fight. At least once. In fact, the clip you had on screen when you said that, it was showing the stunt double. Cox goes offscreen for about a second early on in the fight and the stunt double is replaced, then Cox comes back in when he crawls out from behind the table in the nurse's office. Still an impressive feat nonetheless considering most of the choreography is still him.
I heard that the one take was 80% Cox. There where a few moments where they did "a Texas switch" when the blocking of the camera allowed. Not trying to start an argument, just clarifying.

One thing that interests me us that as soon as Fisk got Bullseye on his side he pretty much started to ignore him, which further lead to Dex's mental breakdown.
Happy to see someone likes legion not many people talk about its really underrated
@@zemoeagle593 Yes! Legion is visually the best show out there for me
I lovw Legion, but I don't really see it as a superhero show, at least not the first season. I know it is a superhero, but the show is so crazy and psychological that it feels like an entire new type of show.
Daredevil and Legion are the cream of the crop. I didn't love Legion S2 as much though I felt the story telling was a bit all over the place
@@emperater yes Legion season 2 was a bit disappointing especially after that amazing season 1
You could see the brutality and savagness of William Fisk’s world and how daredevil has to punch his way thro it.
issa osama william fisk
William? This isn't the bloody Arrow mate.
Asian Nick Compton the op called him william fisk mate
Wilson*
Yo, let's get some appreciation for Wilson Fisk. IMO, Vincent D'Onofrio's Fisk is the best character of this season. His powerful monologues, his perfect rise to becoming the Kingpin was nothing less than brilliant. I'd pay three times the admission price to see him taking on Spiderman.
He’s so fucking awesome. I need to see more of him... preferably, in a movie
*INTERNAL SCREAMING!*
So yeah, I just finished episode 6 but i still stand by my claim
And can we just take a moment to appreciate that prison scene...
Why do I keep feeling that Vannesa will be the new head of everything Fisk left behind. The more cold, stable and methodical version of him.
Knock, Knock Let the Devil In
LegoDude2011 LOL
LegoDude2011 but i just got done letting the devil out
Lettuce in, Like a salad bowl
Colby S lol we are kidding the joke is that the venom movie sucks and stole DD’s line just changed one word
knock, knock let the devil out*
Its crazy to think that when they were introducing nadeem, I thought it was a show mistake and I switched to another show and was like wtf is he doing here, but at the end, man, at the end, its one of the best story arcs of all time, while bullseye is by far my favourite characters, nadeem was something that every single piece of film strives to be
Let's just hope they don't cancel it.
Dex just might have been the reason why i kept watching. At times the bullseye story was more interesting than daredevil's
That's been the case for all of the best seasons of the Netflix marvel shows, the villains have made the seasons not the heroes.
That moment in the Bulletin fight scene where Daredevil catches the rod. Nothing short of epic
Why is no one talking about Nadeem?
Racism... Just kidding but he was awesome!
Nadeem and his hair
Every time the “I beat you” scene, I get chills
Excellent video Roby! I completely agree, Daredevil is and always will be the pinnacle of superhero television. Season 3... My god! I loved it so much! Like you, it's my favorite of the seasons of Daredevil so far and by far the best season of the Netflix shows. To me, these are the holy quadrilogy of live action superhero adaptations: Spider-Man 2, The Dark Knight, Marvel's Daredevil, and Logan.
Everyone forgot about Melvin, I'm still questioning what happened to him
But everybody saw what happened to him.
1:12 that was me lol. I lost my shit when I heard that piano again 😂😂😂
Lol trying to go super Saiyan there in the beginning
Dope review. The hallway scene did use stunt doubles btw, but the bulk of the choreo was performed by Charlie Cox. I think there were only 1 (or 2) instances when the stunt double performed Matt's role - both times the camera shows his profile from behind and cleverly hides his face. Still Cox really took it up a notch this time. Apparently the final shoot that made it into the show came after he had a heavy lunch lol, but it still worked out.
He did use a stunt double, but the switch out was so good that you couldn't tell, and Charlie did do more, because they care.
This show is something else!
Great to see your appreciation of the show, I love it too, my favorite moment was the prison fight and the Fisk Montage in parallel with Matt's and favorite episode is the second one
Lmao I just recently noticed the foreshadowing for Ben becoming Bulseye, 9:43, the symbol on his cap
That montage of pointdexter's life playing in front of Fisk in his room is one of the best film making techniques I have seen
Bit of a personal note, but they did it flawlessly and it really rang true to me
Absolutely loved your Review. I mean it was the best season yet(I hope they will give us the 4th season as well) It's the best Comic show ever.
yes man the opening Titel is too awesome and i get the same feeling as you were saying.
they have nailed each every season and that opening track.
hope they continue to do so
Cox did use stunt doubles for the prison fight though.
So there’s these constant Texas switches happening throughout the oner.”

Episode 4 and 6 of this season are so intense. I couldn't stop watching. Tension in a show hasn't been done this well since the dark knight.
Top 5 episodes
5. Karen
4. speak of the devil
3. New York’s finest
2. A new napkin
1. Nelson V Murdock
@@svclana4ever easy Halloween costume that's for sure....other than the not being able to see part.
@@davidmayberry3190 I think it's cause show's Matt doesn't seem like the guy to be into suits enough to want details like horns. He just wants to get the job done and safety can be accomplished without the 'devil look' so it didn't seem fully natural for him to request a red suit with horns. It's probably true to the comics, it's just the feeling I get when I saw him wearing it for the first time - protection sure, but the visual of it didn't seem like something Murdock would be into
You're not. I like it better too. Daredevil's ninja-shick. ;)
Dex steals Spider-Man’s suit “Hello Karen, it’s nice to see you again “
About the hallway fight, there are no hidden cuts in there but a stunt double was used. If you watch close, you can see when they switch between the 2 seamlessly which is done at least a couple of times through the fight.
Bhavneet Kohli pretty sure you’re incorrect but if you have proof of this please show me I’m interested to see
@@davidgeldner2167 his stunt double is Chris Brewster. I don't have any proof for S03's fight but you may find something if you search enough.

That opening 😂
“ I’m sorry, That sounds hard.... really hard” That line grew more and more bone chilling every time he said it. And every time he said it, my smile grew wider and wider
I still have hope #savedaredevil
Only makers and cast worked for these 3 seasons should return
We should protect it not going under the hands of Disney
I was going to leave a like but my ears are still bleeding from your intro, I had headphones in my guy!
I will never apologise
@@iamthatroby you just earned that like, never apologise. Own that shit my guy!
I agree 100% with everything you said ...I LOVE daredevil and I swear they better do a season 4&5 and just as much as possible
Best superhero trilogy period
This is seriously one of the most underrated shows ever. A total masterpiece. I can't wait to watch it again
Was that a deleted scene where Matt and Karen get shot at ??? I don’t remember seeing that
literally in like 2 minutes of research I've found the director of the episode in an interview with Collider saying there were more than one stunt double switches. they are pretty obvious.
Trying to come up with some sort of plan, an idea of the journey, having in mind that there would be some Texas switches involved for Charlie and [stunt double Chris Brewster], and also for the camera and sound man."

"You're one bad day away from being me", they touched on that during season 2 with Frank Castle but this season took it to another level
Just one thing; he did use a stunt double in the 11 minute shot. You can see the double switch in and out once, the entire time covering his face while fighting. He has shorter, darker hair.
The optimism of a season 4 that'll never come is damn heartbreaking.
I almost was certain in that screaming competition at the start the last one to scream was gonna be tobey maguire in spiderman 2.
Holy shit what a great season of tv.
i remember during that hallway scene thinking they must've sneeked in a cut somewhere///
For me, Agents of Shield is still on the top. But season 3 is so masterfully directed, acted, and written that I cannot deny that it is one of the best seasons of any show I have watched (or will watch).
Thats my man.
This is what I feel about S03 :) Thank you :)
Makers of the Show said it Somewhere
Which is just Incredible
@@hero5406 everything wasnt done by Charlie Cox, that was the whole point in my comment.
Oh, boy, it's been a little longer than two years. It's taken us about 4 years to get graced with these three perfect seasons.
When he said my favorite season so far, I cried.
I can’t watch the whole season every day but I can watch vids like this every single day lol the show just so good I need to think about it
For the record, yes, Charlie Cox DOES use a stunt double at least once. It's called a "cowboy switch" where he'll fall into a room or behind an operating table where the stuntman is waiting to come out or vice versa. It's impressive enough not to notice but it's there if you know what you're looking for
lol what??? there is an obvious change with the double, behind the infirmary bed
I only realised that dex was bullseye at the end and now I'm realising I'm stupid
I have a Masters in Educational Theatre, I love Theatre of the Oppressed and Augusto Boal! Peeps out there who don't know about it should look into it!
My favorite scene with Dex is when he has his frozen girl in the car and he about to kill Kingpin
You never expect an Augusto Boal reference.
The KING of Brazilian drama
I am Brazilian and now I'm ashamed for not knowing who Augosto Boal was until now.
I heard that the one take was 80% Cox. There where a few moments where they did "a Texas switch" when the blocking of the camera allowed. Not trying to start an argument, just clarifying.
I'll watch Daredevil with my kids. I'll watch Daredevil with my grand kids. And if I make it, I'll watch it with my great grand kids.
