@@chasalbert5113, @politicallypink is absolutely right about Ren's fan base. We are a loyal a supportive bunch. Not just supportive of Ren and reactors, but of each other. He's managed to bring millions (?) together to learn what it's like to look for the positive in ourselves and each other with encouragement. Stay along for the ride. I don't think you'll regret it. If you want to try something that shows a completely different side of Ren, try I Shot The Sheriff, (the one with the thumbnail of him wearing a tank T-shirt. There are so many to choose from. He can't be boxed into any genre because he does them all! Hope to see you again soon!

Ren, the writer, the poet, the multi-instrumentalist, the producer, the director,the actor and most of all a great human being. He writes all of his own beats and music, the king of one take videos. There is NO one that does storytelling like Ren can. His Jenny and Screech trilogy and Money Game trilogy (3rd being my friend and most recent MV) but for rap craziness is Losing It and Hunger. Also, this is a live one take as is a lot of his music and even MV’s are also. Murderer MV is amazing but the live of it will blow your mind, as well as For Joe which was written about losing his friend to suicide 13 years ago. Just his personal life story is thought provoking and painful and he puts all of that in his music.
He wrote the song, writes ALL his lyrics, of course he remembers them. He’s played live on the streets of Brighton (in England) for years, with his band The Big Push, so he’s absolutely professional and used to performing, and getting it right first time. He’s AWESOME live!
according to Ren he memorizes his lyrics as he writes, line by line. Street performers are different…and he did it for years❤

@@TWFydGlu indeed. It makes me laugh when reactors say “how does he remember all those words?”. Well for one thing they’re his words, he practices A LOT, and as you say a play requires the actors to memorise thousands of words, actions, emotions. Do these people, these reactors, never go to the theatre? Have they never seen an actual performance of, say, Shakespeare? Or Wilde? How sad that people have such narrow views of art. If they think Minaj is talented, I feel sorry for them. Education is obviously lacking for far too many people who put themselves “out there” on RUclips. They end up looking foolish & asking ignorant questions.

@@chasalbert5113 While it was Live...it was not contiguous..at least not the video part. Ren said they had to shoot the video about 4 times to get all the shots in. You can tell when there is a close up of him and then they switch to the Long Shot...if it was live you would see the cameraman standing right in front of Ren...Live Audio Recording of one of the takes, yes..but the video was a compilation of his 4 run throughs.

Start with his number 1 album on the UK charts called (sick boi) 18 songs on the album, all different and bangers. The album will blow you away, he is a gifted artist/musician. He raps with the best of them and loves hip hop. His band plays Ozzie, Bob Marley, Rolling Stones, Who..etc. He does it all with a tiny team. Him and his camera man for his solo stuff. People want substance and are tired of mainstream rappers. That is why Ren is loved. He has made music for the last 12 or so yrs all while fighting chronic illness.

This information gives you some background on Ren and puts much of his music and performance art in perspective. I gathered the information from old newspaper interviews, articles, and Ren's public livestreams and posts. A handful of people frequently post an earlier version of my comment to various reactions that they copied and pasted verbatim, so if this is a repeat just ignore this comment. I keep editing the information, as needed, and have removed details about Ren that some found to be too personal, such as his full name and D.O.B. All the information here was gathered exclusively from sources Ren personally approved for public release.
Ren is a Welsh musician/independent artist/producer, self-taught multi-instrumentalist. He pursued a career in music from an early age. In 2009, while studying music performance at Bath Spa University, Ren began to experience health issues and was struggling to attend his lectures, which eventually caused him to discontinue his studies and return home. In addition, Ren was signed by Sony Records in 2010 and was working on an album when his health deteriorated to the point that he was unable to go on; consequently, his contract with Sony was dissolved. Ren would later relocate to Brighton.
Ren's illness often kept him in bed for up to 23 hours daily. Ren was initially misdiagnosed with depression, bipolar disorder, and chronic fatigue syndrome, which led him to experience psychosis and develop PTSD. It would take seven years before a doctor in Belgium finally correctly diagnosed Ren with autoimmunity, Lyme disease, and resulting damage to the brain, organs, joints, and PTSD. Ren eventually underwent stem cell therapy in the United States, which improved his health, but it has not been a cure.
Ren is in Calgary, Canada undergoing treatments such as IV therapy and other interventions five days a week, as well as surgeries (wisdom tooth removal and cavitation surgery). His Canadian doctor discovered that Ren also developed a condition called Mast Cell Activation Disorder (MCAD), which has affected the myelin sheath in his brain, his thyroid, and adrenals as well as his bones/joints. Hence, Ren is receiving additional treatments for this previously undiagnosed condition. He recently took a break from treatments and returned to the UK to visit family and friends, and to produce some very ambitious musical projects to be released soon.

About Ren.
Welcome to the Renaissance! Ren is my favourite artist of all time. I say artist because he is a multifaceted diamond! From singing (all styles) to rapping (bars/flows/schemes for days), Bardcore (story telling) beatbox, makes his own beats, scatting and a multi instrumentalist (guitars, bass, drums, melodica and more). On top of that he is the most beautiful human being inside and out who has been through and continues to go through absolute hell.
He’s 33 from Anglesey, Wales originally but spent most his life in Brighton, England. He’s been living in Calgary, Canada all year receiving intense medical treatment for his brain damage and mast cell activation disorder amongst other things.
He started off making beats at 12 and selling CDs then moved on to busking. He was part of a band called Trick The Fox and was signed to Sony but they didn’t renew the contract after his health deteriorated. He then started The Big Push. They went on hiatus the end of last year after 5 years partly due to his move to Canada and also because the other members are also soloists and were moving around too.

Whoa, I have not heard anyone mention The Young Ones in many decades. I was a kid, but I remember the guy with orange hair and metal bits on his face. I had never seen anyone look like that before, but curiosity led me to discovering a whole genre of music my family disapproved of. 😅
Love Ren. Mad talented. Independent, literally does it all (from composing to creating the video, from producing his own beats to playing multiple instruments, etc. And he does it in various genres. The Ren rabbit hole is deep my friend.
He's got stories - The Tales of Jenny and Screech (full) or his Money Game series; personal stuff - Sick Boi or Illest of Our Time; fun rap - The Hunger or Losing It; bluesy/soulful songs - Hold On or Ocean; islandy music - Humble or Murderer; it goes on and on. Yes he looks similar to Cillian Murphy. He is a performer it would be unfair to call him a musician, he's a storyteller, he adopts different personas for tracks and videos, he acts sings raps beatboxes, plays almost every instrument all self taught whilst he was ill, is totally independant and doesn't make happy beats for the radio as he doesn't give a shit about stats and such.....oh yeah and he's just made no.1 in the UK charts..independently!
