For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
    Colossians 2:9 KJV
Would it be more proper to say, rather than claiming Jesus *laid something aside* when putting on human flesh, that instead, he *added* something to himself that was previously not extant (Php 2:6-8)? Seeing as upon his choosing, he showed forth his glory as a man (Mat 17:1-2)?
To "lay aside" implies a relinquishing possession of it, to take it off, to remove it. Some like to claim Jesus took off, or removed some aspects of his attributes, quality, expression, or identity when he became man. Such things are heretical.

Thanks for the input. I am sure there is a better way to say it, but I made it clear that Christ never ceased to be God when He took on flesh. I was only referring to the full manifestation of His glory which no man on earth has yet seen (1 Tim. 6:16).

@@HopeBibleChurchGa I understood that is what you wished to convey.
It's been my desire that these important things be clarified in critical detail because for the few ministers that handle it properly, there's a boat load who come along and tell everyone all the things God set aside, took off, removed, diminished from himself to be able to pay the sin debt.
