@@NielsTheTerminatorFeijen I would love to do that but unforunately not so many people in my country can understand your videos due to language limitations😅. By the way, regarding using spin, I have several questions:
      1. How long after hitting the rails or how many rails the spin of the cue ball is gone?
      2. After hitting rails the spin of the cue ball gets reversed or keep the same rotation?
      3. Why side spin make the bouncing angle of cue ball changed? Do vertical spins make the angle change too?
      4. Does the side spin change the angle of object ball like vertical spins? Does it transfer spin to the object ball and make it spinning?
Hope you can help me. Thank you so much!

Great stuff - I have been teaching the "flat thumb" closed rail bridge to low level players for years. It's a huge gain in solidity and quickly becomes their favorite after short practice. Appriciate all your videos, but thanks especially for all you are doing for entry level lately, anything we can use to help educate our team is gold.

I would like to add a couple more humble opinions:
    1. At 6:26, though Neils said to shoot horizontally, you can still clearly see the slight angle coming down onto the cue ball. IMO, as long as the cue motion is kept in a straight line, a slight angle is acceptable and will help prevent miss cues.
    2. Neils pointed out the timings for switching bridges based on his normal bridge lengths and preferences. You will still need to practice all 3 bridges to be consistent on rail shots but feel free to pick any that feels comfortable to YOU for that particular shot.
    3. Rail shots are just like normal shots, but harder in terms of cueing. If you constantly miss by a lot, practice shorter straight rail shots just like what you did for normal straight shots when started playing pool.

Watched this 3 times now. Really appreciate the effort in giving different camera angles. I use one finger, so this makes a lot more sense = having two fingers and thus two points of contact for the cue is going to make things much more stable. Off to try today at the pool hall.

      Hi there Rustie!
I can offer you a "personal Player Review":
      - You tape yourself, for example playing 'the ghost' or a match. Minimum 30 min. duration.
      - Then upload it to RUclips and send me the link.
I will make a full review, ball-by-ball, and give you inputs on your technique, patterns, choices, stroke etc. and tips with things to work on!
Interested? Send me a PM and we can talk further 👍😀

Of course the best way to get better at rail shots is to shoot them.
If you're not a drill type person (you should be btw lol) try doing what I saw CJ say once.
After every shot of your rack move the cue ball closer to the rail for your next shot.

You can upload a match / sparring session or a session vs The Ghost on RUclips, with a private link for example.
Camera angle in front of the table works best, but any angle from past matches or sessions is also fine 🙂
You get a full screen recording with analysis and tips!!🔥
This way I show you with the mouse which routes and options were better. So you're seeing AND hearing, which really speeds up your learning curve a ton! Prices are 1,50euro per minute, minimum 30min.

I see people make rail bridges where they don’t wrap the index finger over the thumb. Instead they have all five fingertips on the rail with the palm raised, and the cue either in between the index and middle or middle and ring fingers. Wouldn’t this be too unstable of a bridge to be reliable?
