  • The NFL Draft is approaching, and it looks to be one of the most promising classes in recent memory. Colin Cowherd and Bruce Feldman discuss the class to see which position is the deepest, if J.J. McCarthy’s history of winning at Michigan will translate to the NFL, and the potential ceiling for LSU QB Jayden Daniels. Plus, Deion Sanders said “we’re all right” after losing 17 players to the transfer portal, and Colin and Feldman discuss the impact of the portal on college football.

@@mikehunt4503 Pickett is an example of he might be the number 1 QB in the draft, but he wasn't a 1st round talent. The Steelers over drafted him and he failed. You draft him where he should have 4th round or later you aren't shocked that he failed. There isn't a draft in the history of the NFL where Pickett was a first-round talent. This draft is the same. QBs will get over drafted. There are 2 first round talents. The rest of bottom of the second or later. Doesn't mean they won't be good. We are talking overall talent does not draft him high because he's a QB. There is no draft where JJ is a first-round talent. Even if he's the 3rd best QB (he's not of course).

My opinion, what college QBs really lack these days is the ability to overcome adversity.
For instance, Tom Brady and Joe Montana were at the bottom of the position depth chart in college. Today, they would just transfer into an easier situation with little competition to start.
Brett Favre had surgery in college to remove part of his intestine, and was back on the field shortly afterward. He led South Miss in an upset of Alabama.
I question whether most college QBs have that kind of fortitude to beat the odds and lead a huddle.

He is spot on all of these QBs in this class should sit 1 to 2 years to get acclimated to the pro game for maximum results
JJ BO And Drake all remind me of Mitch and Kenny Pickett I would not place any of them out there in year one unless it's a Brock Purdy type situation and how many teams picking that high up are ready for a young QB with veteran pro bowlers on both sides of the game and a head coach that is the offensive coordinator and a game manager none they all need to follow the green Bay module
Bret Favre Aaron Rodgers Jordan love etc
Can you go the other route yes but it has 90 %chance of leading to disastrous consequences
If you taking the game changing QB then you need a QB coach consultant on the sideline for the bigger ones Cam and the little ones Rg3
