How exactly is it better? It's far less sturdy, more expensive, doesn't fit as well with official lego sets. It's completely up to personal preference which is better.

That's exactly how it is, I have the version Muunilinst with Arc Troopers and I can confirm that after the modifications it has become spectacular, a nice addition to my Republic army.

thing with this set is its a moc and mocs usually cannot be compared to the same ceiling as usual sets because its always going to be better because of creative freedom but because of the new helmet holes, inaccurate printing, and even though not in this set the absence of pauldrons and waist capes, because of all of those things honestly i was hyped for the gunship but now i dont want stupid looking clones we'll just hope they maybe change the helmet holes by next years clone battle pack cause if they dont im done

I have this gunship but Arc Trooper version, I modify cabin, wings and doors now are much more solid and im very happy of final result.😊
In fact my advice I recommend purchasing this gunship only to those who have extra LEGO pieces so they can modify and improve it.👍✊️

I would still add the front and back rear Turrent Bubbles. And enable the slide doors similar to the previous lego design
