    VERY beautiful, Jessica!! You asked for tips…. 1) those precision tip bottles are great for doing names/word decals, which I’m sure you’ll get to. I keep mine turned upside down in a Dixie cup while I’m working so the glue is always ready to flow out. 2) There are lip gloss applicators on Amazon that spread the glue well, also. Looks almost like a q-tip but with foam. I use them for the Bob Smith 2-part epoxy that I’ve started using on blinged items. 3) when I do wine tumblers (which we don’t typically use a straw with), I’ve been leaving at least a half inch border at the top. It keeps the liquid from running down into the stones because our bottom lip doesn’t seal those stones off, if that makes sense. Very, very pretty cup and thank you for sharing!

    Love it! My first rhinestone attempt was on a 30oz skinny.🤦 Needless to say, it is still in the works. I am to the point where I need to get more stones.

    Looks great! I’ve recently gotten into rhinestone cups as well and love how peaceful it is to sit and make them.
    My tip: Use a soft or medium toothbrush to wash it so you don’t risk losing any stones and the bristles get all the surfaces of them nice and clean ✨😊

    Beautiful! So to keep your precision tips from drying out, take a sewing pin, I like the pearl tipped ones, and use that to seal the glue and keep it from drying out.

      Excellent suggestion, the pearl tip will make it pretty too! I also turn mine on their side with the pin in place, keeps them from drying out. Not my tip that one comes from The Crystal Ninja, Kellie DeFries.

    Love it! Amazing job. I like to use the dome cups and the lids with drips and names so I haven't actually done an entire rhinestone cup. But I did use to paint pottery with the same exact precision tip bottles that I now use for the glue. They would get clogged too. I found it helpful to use a safety pin or needle to clear it out. Also, it doesn't clog as fast if you wipe the tip between each use. Tedious but it does help! I currently am using a bread tie bc I couldn't find anything else and it has worked great. I dare to say even better than a needle or safety pin bc it is longer. I just peeled back most of the paper on it and went to work.

      I do the same thing with the bread tie!!! I even burn it sometimes with my torch if it sat too long but it definitely works and I keep it upside down so it won't clog as much.

    Nice blinging there, Jessica! The scattered method is supposed to be the toughest. But you did it effortlessly. And the colors are a nice mix. I use liquid fusion also. And I am rather heavy-handed although, as you said, less is best. I try. 😂. But I am glad you showed how you washed the blinged cup as some people don't realize they can be scrubbed and the glue is quite strong. TFS.

    Hi Jessica - I LOVE your videos ! If you were to bling over a full vinyl wrap, would you spray a matte sealer over the vinyl wrap before putting on the transparent rhinestones? I am planning on doing one but I have not seen anyone put a transparent sealer over the vinyl before blinging.

      I would actually epoxy over it first so that you can sand to prep for stones

  • @darj6979
    @darj6979 2 года назад +1

    To clean your stones and cup you should let the glue cure about 7 to 10 days before you clean it up. I use a soft bristle toothbrush and small amount of non harsh dish soap and water to get the stones nice and sparkly.

  • @JulieIngram-e3q
    @JulieIngram-e3q 10 месяцев назад +1

    Can this be done on any tumbler? Like stainless steel or ones with a coating? New to this but I know epoxy wouldn’t stick to the coating, curious how the rhinestones are

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  10 месяцев назад

      I wouldnt recommend putting rhinestones over a coating. If you have to, i would sand to prep as well as possible and use epoxy to apply the stones rather than any other rhinestone adhesive.

    I love this tutorial! I just have a question, do I need to put any type of seal over the spray paint before adding the stones? I wasn't quite sure. :)

    • @FlynnSistersBoutique
      @FlynnSistersBoutique  2 года назад

      You dont have to seal the paint that will be covered in stones. You can leave the bottom stainless so the paint doesnt rub off.
