NEW TUTORIAL: How to correctly forward-face!
Do you enjoy carrying your baby this way? Do you do the pelvic tuck/scoop? You might do it without even noticing.
Well, I’ve put together this tutorial for you to show how baby can be placed into a more optimal position when carried this way. This equals = more comfort for bub and for you!
Some final tips:
▪️ do not forward-face before 4 months of age. Follow the development of your individual baby and wait until they gain adequate strength to hold their head
▪️ do not ever let baby sleep while forward-facing
▪️ preferably keep the time frame small for younger bubs (15-20 minutes) as they need to see your face a lot for confirmation that a new environment/person is good/bad
▪️ avoid busy and very stimulating environments with young bubs too as this is a lot for them to view and their brain to process
The above is just a guide and recommendation. You will know your baby best and their need for stimulation vs. calm. Follow your baby’s lead but be mindful of the length of time and the environment in which you carry them. 💕
All in all, forward-facing can be a really fun way to mix it up and enjoy a different way of interacting every now and then!
