THIS! I just left a comment on how I bought this game a few hours ago and have already ran through it with Goku and I attribute it to have been playing souls-like games for weeks beforehand 😅. You just gotta get unorthodox with it. If you get caught up trying to re-create your childhood battles you are going to get stomped 😂

I can’t get past vegito blue even on easy so I know the feeling if I ever beat that arc I’ll never be playing it again😂 which is sad that they made the story that hard that ppl have to play like there in a ranked pvp battle to enjoy the story. I know I’m not amazing at this game I grew up with the Budakai games (I’m 33)Budakai 3 was my game and it’s vastly different from this lol. In this games battle mode I dominate and can play the game the normal way but in episode mode the only way I can beat it is to just spam sparking mode and ultimates which is what I’ve been doing and it’s been working pretty easily now that I do that lol (I hate having to do that because it’s not fun but the Ai is too good) I hope you figure it out man and get the canon ending

Some of these story missions and requirements for the what ifs get fucking ridiculous. I won't spoil who you're fighting but you have 3 minutes to defeat two endgame bosses and another one to defeat 5 enemies with only base Goku.
I feel like having requirements for what ifs in the first place is kinda dumb. I thought we were going to be able to shape the path of the story ourselves and be given different options everytime we win a major fight @Ollie-Arts
Did any of u get the wat if where goku and vegeta go to namek together and when u fight the ginyu force if u dont beat them within a certain time u have to fight the WHOLE ginyu force back to back no breaks with just goku 😭

You can get 4 sets of Super Dragon Balls from the Episode Battles: Goku’s Story (main choices) Jiren’s Story (alternate route) Future Trunks Story (alternate routes, but you get 2 sets from his arc)

Afro, you gotta do the "What If" scenario for Goku in the Saiyan arc. In the beginning, you have to choose to work with Piccolo, and then when you fight Raditz, you have to kill him instead of just surviving the battle. That should put you on the track for the alternate scenario, which is a ridiculously cool ending.

Best way to make trunks come out is to crush vegito easily. He usually comes out if you're winning by a lot. Don't drop difficulty though, struggle as I did! For the survival objective missions, try beating all your opponents instead of just surviving. Great way to challenge yourself!

The Crush Impact confused me too, but I think I understand it now. It a timing thing, so just hit the button it shows in the middle with proper timing b4 your opponent, and whoever gets 3 pts first wins, but if you input the wrong button, it counts against you too.
I am so proud of myself for not turning to lowering the difficulty and actually defeating great ape in a single session. For those struggling, the trick is to beam clash his galick gun with your Kamehameha, when successful it does a ton of damage. That's the reason he spams galick gun so much, just beam clash twice with him and he is easy game

The time limit to get the what ifs is freaking insane. One is to beat raditz before piccolo charges his attack and raditz runs away like a coward. You need to use those dragon orbs to even have a shot.
