Great video! Anyone else a bit confused why I-80 Council Bluffs have express and normal lanes? This feels like the NJ Turnpike going to New York, but instead, the road is going to the large state of Nebraska (instead of NY)😂
@@efil4kizum Agreed. I-80 probably has lots of trucks. But, why would you need express lanes (especially if it’s literally for two exits) to manage that kind of traffic? It’s good to have I guess, but it seems a bit overkill to me.
There are quite a few casino resorts in that area, I'm not sure whether that was part of the reason. Nebraska is building their own casinos though so they probably won't have the same draw.
They’ve built them to accommodate the future traffic demand. The six total lanes it used to have wasn’t sufficient for traffic in the next couple decades so they made it much bigger. It looks really nice though, glad they redid it.
I wanted to start off by saying that I enjoyed the video. But I feel like parts of I-29/80 in Council Bluffs, IA, are a bit overbuilt. I don't think it's necessary to have three lanes of "express lanes" going in each direction.
Ahhh! Omaha. Where every car sounds like they have a flat or imbalanced wheel with their patchwork interstate system. BTW, that red accord that mooned you as it passed was me. Welcome to town. 😁
Believe it or not, Council Bluffs was, for a short time, the capitol of the Nebraska territory. And it was Council Bluffs business men who crossed the river and built Omaha.
72nd Street was the exit you’d take to get to where I lived . That street , you could go shopping and eating just about anywhere .
Nice ride on I 80 East

i suppose it is for the large volume of commercial truck traffic? on i80

@@JJ_Skippy Yeah, can’t argue with that. The redesign and extra lanes do look pretty nice.

Yeah, I get that impression too. Sort of like I-41 around Green Bay.
@@ddki9094i noticed that when crossing into Wisconsin from I-80 & I-90 aswell
that is how they do things in Iowa. LMAO

Did you notice the fool ahead of him wouldn't get over and forced the cop onto the shoulder.
Typical Omaha driver.
Didn't know Omaha was right by the Nebraska/Iowa state line

Foot-in-mouth. 😊
