- I am from Germany, born and raised. A couple of years ago I relocated to Australia and been living there ever since.
Can you understand Urdu and Hindi?
- I sadly can’t understand both languages fully, neither can I speak them. However I am able to understand a few words and certain phrases.
Why haven’t you reacted to my recommendation yet?
- Every day I receive countless recommendations from you guys, which I am grateful for. I am trying to read all the comments but it does happen that I miss some out. The main factor is probably my working schedule which doesn’t allow me to film videos daily. Most weeks I can only find a couple of hours in the afternoon to film 2-3 videos. Of course I’d love to film more and film all of your recommendations, however I’m trying to stick with 1 or 2 uploaded videos a week. Quality over quantity.

The song is half in Pashto. Pashto is spoken among the Pathans of the Khyber Pakhtunwa region of Pakistan, which borders Afghanistan. In the intro of the song, you saw things that were more akin to Central Asia's Turkic tribes and, Afghanistan than Punjab, Sindh and the Indian subcontinent.
Pashtuns/Pakhtuns* is the correct word. Pathan is a Hindi word and should not be used, especially in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

REHMA steal the song. Her voice is extraordinary IMO. Gulay means My sweetheart/My flower(Rose). In Pashto Rose is called Gulab. Gulay is taken from Gulab. Thanks for your video reaction.

Gulay comes from the word "gul" which means "flower". Gulay is a expression to call a person

This song encompasses multiple aspects of the Pashtun belt, transcending multiple countries and regions, from Pakistan North to Afghanistan, Iran, and Upper Eastern Europe.
They mostly had been warriors and conquerors for centuries and, like Mongols, came down south and settled. One of the most hard-working, culturally vibrant, and friendly demographics of Pakistan. They were vital in stopping the Russian onslaught via Afghanistan. However, Pashtuns are misunderstood by most and victims of cultural misinterpretations. They are overly simplistic in expressing their emotions as friends and foes. You'll love it if you ever get to meet and be their guest.

The best of best thing of this song is composition. Even throughout the song you hear same composition despite there are two different languages. How good both languages are fused in one composition.

I have to be honest that I grew up with a lot of music which I couldn’t understand for a very long time (mainly English and French music) so for me the music always comes first, then understanding the lyrics.

This song is in pashto language and of course english language as well, pashto is spoken in Pakistan and in Afghanistan, you can see the rich culture and beauty of pashtoons, while the media of whole world show then as terrorists, infact they are the most loving caring people you will ever meet, hats off to coke studio for telling the beautiful culture of pashtoons all around the world.
