I'd keep the line. I've never seen an 86 with that line and like you said, everyone else goes with the white and black 2 tone. It wouldn't hurt to be a little different.
I usually love the more colorful interiors in 80s/90s cars. So many people go with conversions to black and gray and it gets so boring. I love the blue cloth interior in my FC3S.
Idk what happened to my previous post on this, but here we go. Check out AE86 Preservation Society on RUclips. They have DIY on how to take apart your seats for better cleaning and they can help with restoring your old seats. As for the retro line it looks like the previous owners we’re trying to go with the old school TRD racing colors which from top to bottom is Yellow, Orange, Red. A lot of ppl are bringing that back which is cool. Imo I think you should go that route maybe modernize it a bit. Panda imo is played out and is more for the Intial D fanatics. 1jz is sweet, be prepared to possibly cut your firewall and your tranny tunnel to make it fit. Awesome vid! Love those wheels!
For maroon dashboard and side panels as long as u have the moldings try looking into maroon vinyl interior wraps . U might want to look into it. U may also want to look into fabrics for the seats that are marooned colored.Do ur research on the net .
