Episode 1: Why does anybody do this?

Initially I thought I'd make this episode a tour of my the layout space in our basement. But then I thought it might be better to explain why anybody would design and contract to finish most of the their basement specifically to meet the requirements of housing a model train layout. So, after a couple brief comments related to consequences of our current social distancing, be prepared for some musings on exactly why anybody decides to go through all this just for the sake of running model trains.
