The first album I heard was Equinox on the original Sony Walkman in '79 and I fell in love with JM.
Now, in '24, I'm still listening to it.
The original versions are timeless and at the same time they evolve with each new release.
Equinoxe is the album that turned me on to Jean-Michel Jarre. I love hearing the new takes on his old material.

На живом концерте - в смысле в новогоднюю ночь в VR-шлеме... То что здесь - больше похоже на рендер со стороны, из разных интересных заранее продуманных точек. А что было видно в тот момент из шлема...
В Москве вживую было очень не плохо. Не всё услышал. что ожидал, но разве это повод пропустить то. что никогда не повторится? Композиции немного скатываются в клубный жанр, но всё равно интересно.
На пороге формат звука DSD256... Да. Это 1гиг за 10 минут... Но и визуал подтягивается. Что придёт первее: чип в мозг для контроля или оптический вход в мозг для lossless audio? ))))))

Got the pleasure to see JMJ at Docklands i can still remember every drop of rain and every single sound my little fun sponge heard that night. Been a lifelong fan ever since and id give body parts to see him again
One of my greatest regrets was not actually going to the concert, because I thought it would get cancelled due to the weather ... I lived about 20 miles away at the time so it was a bit of a trek, and by the time I found out it was still on it was too late.

J'approche les 40 ans, JMJ c'est l'artiste de mon enfance. Le premier artiste a me faire aimer la musique étant enfant. J'étais fasciné d'entendre ça dans les années 80 étant enfant (le concert à la défense je le regarderai en boucle).
JMJ ne sera jamais démodé, jamais. Il était la avant tout le monde dans la musique électronique, un demi siècle d'avance sur son temps. Toujours aussi incroyable aujourd'hui.

Moi, c'est pareil. J'ai grandi avec sa musique. Le concert à la Défense c'était génial, c'était un chef d'oevre dans le genre. J'ai aussi regardé plusieurs fois le concert de Londres - Destination Docklands. C'était aussi un spectacle inoubliable. J'ai eu également l'occasion de voir deux de ses concerts "live", quand JMJ était venu dans mon pays. Fantastique!

Some time ago, I saw a program on arte I believe, they took him to a studio with an exceptional 3 dimensional sound system; he immediately started to explore and experiment, it was heartwarming to see, how he grasped it on spot and made it his tool.

Arguably one of the best live sets that Jean-Michel Jarre ever done in the modern era.
In some moments, the show is totally inspired by the rhythms and staging of Kraftwerk. It looks like Ralf Hütter! Jarre has evolved from the Berlin School to the Düsseldorf School. It is not new. He has been into dance for a long time (in his live shows lately he usually plays the pre-recorded remix version of "Zero Gravity" made by Above & Beyond and not his own) and adopts the pose of a DJ. We will see him soon in "Tomorrowland", sharing the stage with David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Martin Garrix, etc.😁
En TV estaban mostrando como las distintas ciudades recibían el nuevo año. En mi mente el pensamiento de que JMJ había hecho cosas muy similares hace 40 años, que busca la innovación, la excelencia y además un espíritu humano en sus obras que no todos los artistas logran. Brújula definitiva en la transición cultural del siglo XX al XXI ...y esto recién empieza.
