- Aspiring music students of Woolston School are treated to a visit from the band Shihad and perform their own version of Shihad's song "Pacifier". The band is donating their share of proceeds from an upcoming Pay-to-View concert to the newly merged Woolston-Phillipston School music programmes. The band members were quite moved by the performance and the kids were thrilled to be able to perform for them even getting the oppurtunity afterwards to get up close, meet them and snap a few selfies of course, enjoy!
I once was walking along the South Perth foreshore and there were Shihad playing a free concert and they were whipping the crowd into a frenzy. I just stood there and thought....wow.....how good are these blokes. This video doesn't surprise me at all and I loved seeing the joy they all shared.
man i randomly found this now and geeez that made me cry hearing their voices, these wonderful children warmed my heart to the core, and i bet shihad deserve this after all they just made music for themselves and us fans that listen to them.. so beautiful
I'm a Kiwi who's been living in Aus for 12 years. After seeing this - I wanna go home.
My late son was one of those kids. Very special day for them
I'm in this, insane how this was 7 years ago feels like yesterday when we performed this
My son was too
This has.only just come up on my feed. Thanks for sharing.
This is such an awesome video. Ripped me apart. So many tears. I love Shihad, this song is such an important song in kiwi history. They seem like such stand up dudes. Seeing their vulnerability is so moving. Such a great band. Thank you Shihad for your contribution to kiwi music
Me too, I cry watching Havoc and Newsboy reruns.
I'm in tears. That was awesome. Hope they make a heap of money for the school. Thanks Shihad.

Shihad's concert, Aotea Square, 2005 (from memory), epic.
What a great story. Shihad seem like top blokes, and are still the best live act I’ve seen (on multiple occasions too). And that’s coming from an Aussie!
My fam were watching this on breakfast on tvnz 1

Its Cool But Sad Seeing all these kids I recognize and teacher that sadly left :( But I Love This song years later
In 1985 Chris Masters, while reporting his (4 Corners") investigation of the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior, said "New Zealand is a village". This video proves it.
Saw these guys in NSW years ago. WILD show. You cant stop John from getting up to mischief. They all stuck around after the show. I have five of their C.D.s and a t shirt and they all signed them. One Bass player accused me of going to sell them on eBay (jk). Said hell no, these are mine.
Very cool
