At that time, whaling was threatening the existence of these magnificent creatures. Roger Payne created a global awareness with this album. These giant sea creatures, which people did not care much about, prompted people to take to the streets to stop whale hunting because of the album's impact.
💙 Roger Payne fought for what he believed in until the very end and passed away in 2023 at the age of 88. However, his legacy will not be forgotten for centuries. Global efforts to protect whales will continue thanks to the movement he started.
