I currenctly have it, I have done some DXing, but Localy I am not impressed, I only have it like 7m from the ground, but quite disapointed what i get in. I might try a Sirio 827 or MACO V58, if I had the money I would try the 5/8 antenna from Zero-Five COLOSSAL 10K, but its costly, and I dont see any resellers in EU.
Remember, line of sight for local...21' might getcha 7mile coverage..Height is might for Local, closer to ground for DXn because of take-off angle to atmosphere..
Really, they cheated me also :( cause i bought mine from KPO Nederlands), and I already complained about the antenna was not as good as I had expected. They told me to send it back, but I would cost me more, but if we can prove its the wrong antenna, maybe I should try to get to them again. Cause mine is the same as in this video. I bought it as a 5/8 and the package said 5/8, but mine clearly have more than 9 and 5 turns on the coil. Its the same as in this Video. And One time i actually tested without put the Radials on, and nothing changed at all - SWR the same with or without radials, I dont know about RX/TX cause did not really test that. - I plan to get a Sirio 527 before the weeekend. So lets see.
Well I hate to break it to you this late in the game, but evidently Sirio was running low on the 5/8 so they sent you the half wave (which doesn't care if you put radios on it or not) and the reason I know that it's the half wave not the 5/8 is because of the coil matching section that you showed. On my half wave there are 14 turns on top and 12 turns on the bottom - not so on the 5/8 wave, so I guess Sirio doesn't really care which bin they draw from - if they're running low on 5/8 apparently they'll just send out a half wave because they look almost the same LOL
Fairly decent made antenna but a year later after owning one of these they are not at all waterproof or resistant whatsoever and very prone to SEVERE SWR fluctuation, with ANY RAIN OR precipitation. Just a heads up, antennas need to be made to last longer than one year without having serious waterproofing issues
Had this design back in early 80,s Works great

a great antenna with big ground planes
Was it hard to tune
The 5/8 has 9 turns on the top coil and only 5 on the bottom coil.

Radials not radios! Damn voice to text! 🤬

Were can I get one
I bought one last month the plastic coil former was broken so sent it back. Looks a weak point.

Try installing it properly. It's one of the best 11 metre DX antennas on the market.
