The bolt under the headlight is easy acces if removing turn indicator first.😊 it is a plastic nob on the inside. Otherwise, great job! I’ve replaced these rusty plates between the bumper an fender on my 230. They where hard to find. Bought them from US though. Good luck! Love these cars
Not many parts were needed, other than the wings and a couple of unique bolts (which I bought from mercedes). The only parts that I struggled to find were the brackets that had rusted off where the wings attach to the bumper. I found one supplier in Germany that sold these.
Local official mercedes dealer was normally cheapest, just get in contact with their parts guys and they will help you find the correct bits. If they are un-available from there, eBay, autodoc for new or breakers yard for second had used parts. Hope this helps!
Yikes, you fenders/wings are shot, as they are missing the mounting hole to bolt under the side skirt. The bumper bracket needs to be replaced. This r170 is a rusty one, and might be a better parts candidate for a cleaner r170. Good luck.
For sure, in hindsight would have definitely been easier - coming from having already restored it. Looking for a clean one in the U.K is a little hard. If I had gone for a 2000 plate, I think they changed the paint to make it a little more rust resistant. I would also be able to avoid the ULEZ toll.
Hi, I am afraid the body kit came with the car. I did have a quick search to find a value, but the only parts I could find were sold a while back. It is called BRABUS R170 body kit. Good luck!

We have the same bumper in my slk. Im looking for the area where to put tow hooks in the front bumper.

For the front wings those brackets that are rusted to nothing you can buy galvanised ones I got 2 for mine
