Happy to see someone else who really loves Alfa Romeos. And can appropriate them. Many people don't know that Enzo Ferrari worked for Alfa Romeo before he started building Ferraris. So Alfa Romeo was born before Ferrari.
Thank you!! Yes I really have a love for my giulia. This is how the NA models should have come from the factory it really brings great depth to the driving experience
It’s defiantly exciting to change things up! I still have mopar maxcare extended warranty so long as my mod doesn’t cause an issue they still will cover example doing this doesn’t give them reason to not cover my radiator if it leaks.
Thank you for sharing your journey! I appreciate that. I have a 2019 Misano blue Stelvio, bought used 2 years ago, and enjoy it tons. There have been some strange gremlins here and there but enjoy the steering and handling! Like you, I do the maintenance and have been frustrated with not being able to do a simple interval reset. After 2 years, I am bitter about it, but just put up with it because my Wife and I love this car. Please keep the videos coming!
Thanks for watching! It is a great car. I actually have a video DIY using this same software that will let you reset the maintenance required message. Yours will need the SGW bypass but it’s an easy install. The oil light you can do with no computer. You just do it in this sequence with in 10 seconds. Close the door, ignition on, press gas pedal to the floor untill it clicks 6 times. Then Turn the car on. First time I did it took like 30 tries but it works. I’ll make another video on that!
Thanks for watching! I was just as surprised that this is possible. It’s really easy to with the right software. All links should be in the description for the cables.
as I know, when u have in D and u r going in N , there is pressure in gearbox and it's changing and it's damaging gearbox slowly and also while driving u don't have to go in N if there is no some specific situation.
Well the Euro specs come like this from the factory with the ability to shift to N so what your saying may be true but I’m sure the engineers factored that in before putting the programming into the factory euro Giulia and Stelvio. As for me I only use it maybe once a month to rev
thank you for your video! I add it successfully but now a little problem is when I turn the steering wheel I can hear the fraction noise, it’s probably from the column cover I guess. 😢
@@19faller that is what activates the Europe settings if you don’t do that you won’t get what you see in the video. You have to be 100% sure you change the correct byte 156 it should have 50 in the slot you change to 40. If your not sure don’t do it
Thanks for sharing this! That' something I'v been hoping for all the times! One question: for my 2023 giulia estrema, it looks like a SGW bypass is definitely needed to do so, right?
It’s really hard to get a proxy alignment done with a Bluetooth obd2 wireless. It times out mostly. Under settings in multiscan put high latency mode and change the com port to obd mx. this is normaly the issue when you use a wireless obd2 you can’t change the latency with a plug in you would go under device settings in windows and change it to 1. I would recommend using a wired cable. Not saying it’s not possible but it’s harder www.giuliaforums.com/threads/multiecuscan.43770/
Read my first reply if you can. read this second trouble shooting. Also if yours is. Late 2018 up SGW is needed to program. Mine is early 2018 so I did not need the SGW that plugs in under steering column www.giuliaforums.com/threads/proxi-align-failure-using-mes-need-help.49266/
I bought a wired OBDLink SX cable. I checked the latency for my comport in Windows and changed the latency to 1, it was previously set to 16. I then changed the redraw frequency in the Multiecuscan to high and it is still timing out. I'm an idiot but I'm trying. Any other words of advice?
hi I have a Japan spec(not sure the difference between the U.S and European specs) 2.2 diesel, what are the benefits of doing that shift knob? and another question, what mods would you recommend for a Stelvio? thanks more power!
For more power I would recommend Celtic tuning or squadra. I believe they do tuning on your platform the 2.2. As well as racebox. I have squadra my self it is probably the best. This video is a software change that lets you shift into neutral by pressing both paddle shifters.
hey man great video and that is a hell of nice car jealous of the beautiful blue and white interior trim, i still love my vesuvio grey all carbon though aha. recently had a struggle installing race mode cars 2017 kept failing proxy alignment for drive train node out of range. fast forward a days of trying and having multiple engine lights on i took it to my alfa dealer they know my cars modded ec phase 2 couple other mods they cool people still have my warranty an all. they couldnt get it to work with their software, somehow i got it to work in their shop with alfissimo software even tho it failed drive train again race mode fully works only thing is my odometer is flashing. the techs couldnt code it out. im sending my ecu out to ec again soon maybe they can decode it? sorry for the long message i just think you might know. i also want to do this euro mod but im just scared to run another proxy alignment and shit go wrong again and i lose race mode🤦🏼♂️ thanks for your time hopefully you can help a little
Thank you for the message you can contact me at Alfamods512 on Instagram if you would like to go through this in detail. The OBD flashing is the car letting you know a module in the canbus system is not aligned correctly with the other modules
not on any social media unfortunately, so do you think i should just do a proxy alignment to fix it? I might as well do this euro paddle mod while im at it then?
i went ahead and did this mod and another proxy alignment or should i say 5 proxy alignments.. failed every single time for drive train node, twice timeout and three times out of range. wouldnt let me go into abs after the alignment first 4 timea but the 5th time finally let me. end result my obd still flashing but race mode still works and the euro mod now works too🤦🏼♂️eurocompulsion said they cant code it out when i send them my ecu that i need to do it with multiecuscan. idk what to do i already went to alfa romeo they dont know what to do for it either
