I love your honest and hardworking hunting style. I moved to British Columbia 6 years ago and this is exactly how I hunt. Still walking, glassing cuts, full day pushes and overall just hard work. You don't hunt for big trophies, you don't have access to huge strips of private land, it's general open season hard work. This year me and my buddy were fortunate enough to get a double header on two beautiful muley 4-points. It was the first mature mule deer for both of us. Thanks for all the knowledge you put out there including strategy, gear, e-scouting etc. Those inspirations keep us viewers going getting it done ourselves!!
Can't say enough good about your videography and cinematography brother! You have developed quite the eye and have become a fantastic storyteller! Looking forward to sharing a tree with you again in the spring just so I can pick up some pointers!
Samong your videos are the best. Ever gave a tree stand or a saddle for Whitetail a thought. The Hunting Public and your channel are the best. Have a look at what they do. Very informative and they explain everything they do. Very successful bow and rifle hunters, young guys. Keep up the awesome work. Regards from South Africa 💪👍😁
When steve was talking about the peroxide in my head I was like “yea usually only us Nurses preach this stuff to people” then turns out he’s one too lol
Except for the Neosporin which actually slows down healing they have stopped using it now in most ER rooms. Even Vaseline would be better. The military has also completely done away with Neosporin for the same reason.
Always got a bottle of H Peroxide along with a spray bottle top ... day or night wet or dry it works great for following a tough blood trail. In the dark by flashlight the bubbles shine like a pile of glass
Hey Young man just happened on your videos& seen your mule deer you harvested with your family!!that was awesome, it's so cool that you all been doing it that long
Rhizotomy Steve, depending on what your back issue is. Did wonders for me. Or take a Medrol Dose Pack with you and start it the day before you start hiking around. I'd be hunting over a water source in that westher.
We hunt here (this area) every year, would love to meet up with you, we will be in the canvas wall tent just before you get to that spot your parked and camped (didnt know it was you when we found your camp) pulled out a big 4 by 4 buck out of there that year. Good luck. I will keep an eye out for you and steve if you hunt that area again.
Looking at the damage to Steve's hand reminds me of why I wear leather gloves when I'm moving. I hung the deserts of southern Arizona. Everything here will stab, grab, or cut you.
Great videos and advice I hope Steve’s back is feeling better 6 months later haha. I’m not new to hunting but I’ve never been deer hunting and im interested in doing a hunt with you guys this season if you guys are up for it I’m over in Blaine
How good is the savage? My brother is going to buy the impulse straight bolt pull. He is asking me about it. So I’m asking people on here or samong. Do advise I can give him to buy or not buy. It’s 1400 bucks.
@@hectormontes7664not just anyone can guide. There are a limited amount of outfitter permits and guide licenses per area and each come with their own tests and fees.
Steve is exactly right that's why when you get to the hospital with a bunch of road rash when you wreck your motorcycle or some crazy stuff they will tell you go over to the sink and wash it with soap and water scrub it with that scrub brush and you look at them and go excuse me that's going to hurt Yup that's what you gotta do people wash it don't throw a bunch alcohol on it
Man what a relaxing, beautiful few days we had up there. Can't wait for next year!
Redemption is the board!

Appreciate it! I'm not good at faking being a good hunter so I just show it as it is!
Hope Steve's back feels better... Great outing guys! "if your all about the kill, your not going to have fun" my wife complimented you on that :)
Wow Steve is saving lives in one hand and taking lives in the other LOL

Nice video Samong! You know you doing good when you have 6 ads now! Haha! Awesome!
Keep videoing on your hunting I like your cover section and video.
you're a fine outdoorsman
i wish i would have been going at it when i was your age

Question....how far do you typically set up camp from your truck? Or do you always camp at your truck?
When you're hunting bucks... You'll see does... But stick it out!
Great Video
Another great video!
Where was that I been hunting over mt. Adam’s but the brush is to thick
My first time whitetail hunting I had a 1980's used Savage 110 30-30. They are much nicer now.

You have come along ways with your videos bud ...
Really enjoyable watch .
Hopefully run across you one of these days here in the back country of Wa.

At 8:15 you attached your phone to the spotting scope. What system are you using, and do you like it?
This is the Ollin Company digiscoping system. It is my favorite digiscoping system!
Love the videos keep it up amazing content
Hey what’s the sling attachment thing you use to have your rifle in front of your shoulder rather than your back?
Kifaru gun bearer
Man I'd love to get in on an elk hunt or deer hunt with you guys.
Do live in Oregon or Washington? i see you hunt both all the time....... Love your channal....
I live in Washington
I know you are a Vortex guy, but what Leupold was mounted on Steve's new rig?? Great video. Thanks! 👍
I believe he has the VX5 3-15x44 on there. I forgot which reticle exactly.
@@SamongOutdoors Copy. Thanks Sy!
VX5hd 3-15x44 with a wind plex reticle is all you need 👍
@@edgarlombera7066 Indeed 👍!
Hopefully Steve can tag out
Check out his channel! He has a video about his follow up hunt!

Great vid
SY I noticed you're wearing different boots than usual. Are you usually in Idahos? What's this new pair? Crispi as well?
Yeah, my Thor GTX is done after 3 years. I'm wearing the Schnee's Beartooth 200g in this video and also picked up a pair of Crispi Lapponias.

I don't have any experience with the Straight Pull series, but I think the 110 Ultralite is the best rifle that Savage makes.
@@SamongOutdoors thank you I will let him know.
Is that the carbon barrel?
On the 110 savage
Yes, the 110 Ultralite comes with the Proof Research barrel!
i bought a rifle for my wife, none of mine have muzzle breaks. only needed on magnum rifles!!! lol
Statistically, your wife is a better shot than you and has a higher pain tolerance than you.
Steve looks like private Pyle 😂
Your comment is a private pile
Do you have any experience with barnes ttsx-bt ammo
I don't have any personal experience with them on animals, but I have shot them before. People that do use them seem to do very well!
Good hunt
Great country
Does the Savage 110 Ultralight have a big kick for recoil?
No the recoil is lighter than you would expect. Stock design & recoil pad. I have a 300WSM, my daughter (125 lbs ) had no issues off the bench.
It all depends on what you have it chambered in. Our 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 PRC with the muzzle brake makes recoil seem non-existent!
Nice! Thank you for the replies guys! Samong, thank you for taking us along on your adventures!
thanx
Samong next year is gonna be my first year big game hunting what rifle caliber do you recommend for all around as in deer and beer
I'll be filming a entry-level rifle build next year. For all-around, I don't think you can beat the .308 Winchester.
@@SamongOutdoors ok thank you looking forward to the video
Savage ultralite ftw!
Such a fine rifle!
like to get the kestral monopod,,,,,any chance of discount>>>>??
Yes, use the code SY10
Are there monopods to use your Vortex binoculars?
Yes! Kestrel Glassing Systems has monopods for quite a variety of binoculars on the market.
First, yes! Another video.
Where are you guys at?
Steve, start doing some yoga brother. Sounds weird but it built my core strength and solved my back problems almost immediately. 🤙🏼
Me and my dad hunt here every year
I'm new to area, do you offer guide service?
I’d go on Washington state hunting forum and ask that
Appreciate the interest but I'm not a guide! I'm just your average hunter that just happens to film his hunts.
@@SamongOutdoors Let me know if you would consider it. I would pay you for your time.

Yes, my Thors are pretty much done after 3 years. I have the Schnee's Beartooth 200g and Crispi Lapponias for now.
iodine for woulds my friend. You'll never go back to anything else. It will heal like a miracle.
Buck fever
What rifle
This is the Savage 110 Ultralite.
👍
Don't you guys work?
Thank you for pronouncing correctly. MOUNTAIN not MOU-EN. I really enjoy your hunts, enthusiasm, stewardship, and success. Nicely done as always.
I’m from New Hampshire, and based on our pronunciation, it should be spelled “mou’n”.
Talking to much bro😅😅😅😅
