    Show of hands. Who plays PF2E and who plays D&D 5e?

      I stick with PF1E.

      I play both (but i usually use mostly online materials, which means pdfs, D&D Beyond (on the D&D 5e side) and Archives of Nethys that is completely free (on the Pathfinder 2e side.)

    Recently made the jump from 5e to pf2e and am having a ton of fun with it. It helps that all kf the rules are available for free online and their remaster has made buying physical copies really easy as well

      pf2e has a lot going for it! they really did a good job at taking the dnd system and making it feel unique enough to be difference but not so different that it isn't easy to transition into

    pathfinder sounds fun. I like a lot of detailed rules if I have time to learn them.

      For me, Pathfinder is too crunchy, it reminds me of a warhammer 40K game that takes 4 hours to get through two turns of combat! But maybe Im just scarred haha!

    • @jonathanbarker831
      @jonathanbarker831 28 дней назад +1

      I think the "crunch" of pathfinder is generally over stated. As far as the number crunch goes it really isn't that bad you might have at most 3 numbers to keep track of on any one roll. I think the real barrier of entry is trait memorization.

    Last I checked the adventure path subscription doesn't deliver pdfs to your door, they mail you a physical copy of the adventure.
