The supreme personality of godhead Shree Krishna said in Bhagavad Gita chapter -2, Shloka-46&47-"Karmane vadikaraste ma faleshu kadachana" "Ma karma faler hertur bhurmatey sangostava akarmane". The above shloka states that the doer has his grasp(Adhikar ) on the karma but the result (Falam /fruit)is not in his possession . Further Krishna states once you achieve your goals and results ,don't consider yourself the doer of that karma i.e. don't be proud of your work ".Because pride causes destruction as another shloka of bhagvad Gita states :"Ahangkar a vimura atma karta aham iti manyate "that means the concieted soul or the proud soul grows murkh or vimur (foolish ) and considers himself the ultimate that will lead to his destruction one day .Krishna also states in Bhagvad Gita that one should follow the path of karma-yoga i.e." Work with devotion without hankering for results . I would say to increase confidence and to teach children life management and prepare them for the ultimate truth "Change is the law of the universe "buy a BHAGAVAD -GITA as it is by his divine grace A.C.Bhaktivedanta swami prabhupada. I bought this book and presented it to my 12 year old son and he read it several times and it is easy to understand as there is PURPORT in simple english .I have provided information if this helps any parents to develop their children .
1. Do not startle a child a 100 times shouting "veezhum veezhum" 2. Allow the child to play in the rain to his heart's content. There is not much connection between 'jalam' and 'jaladosham'. 3. Allow the child love the neighbors also. 4. In an evening ask the child :"Let us go to the road to collect cow dung for the garden?". You should see his readiness! 5. Do not follow the saying "Kaakkakku thankunhu ponkunhu". 6. Allow him to live dangerously (of course under your hidden surveillance). You should yourself a good model to the child. Less advises.
