- Welcome back to @SDKook . I took my buddies from Tuna Bros Inc. out on my 22ft Seaswirl Striper in search of Mahi, and boy did we find them! We ended up getting the first boat limits of Dorado on Boaty McBoatface while fishing with live sardines as bait. They were super excited and I was even able to get one on the Clear Choice Popper. Another insane day of fishing in San Diego, Southern California's finest fishery.
This was also the first time getting to test out the new Penn Phathom Gen. 2. reel. Mine is the 25N size. I paired it up with a Phenix Axis rod, and I have to say I was extremely impressed with the reel AND the rod! The Penn had butter smooth drag and the power handle was a game changer. I kept thinking "why would you want a power handle on a small reel?".... until I used it. Once I switched back to a regular handle it immediately felt uncomfortable and weak while fighting the fish! I can't believe how much the power handle makes a difference. Highly recommend and I'll probably pick up another one at some point.

I believe it's 32gal, I usually put a half scoop in but I've done a full scoop before and it works well!
