It's about purchasable hashrate, as someone with 320 170hx cards 2037 p106 cards and 417 cmp 100-210 cards, I don't look at day to day income I look at how much of a coin I can mine for a week long period and go from there, you average a month or so with a coin hitting a exchange to be able to sell. So if your like myself who lives in Pa and deals with power price shopping, it's easier to realize gainz considering new coins hitting a exchange within a month. That's the gamble
This is a fun thought experiment & tight segues. Did some sloppy spreadsheeting when figuring the price/performance of a 4090 vs 12 CMP 100-210s ($1800 worth of them). It came down to the CMPs smashed 3.3 times the hashrate but pulling 3.6 times the power. Seems either option could present itself to two different mining strategies: A) Maximize yield for daily selling. B) Long run accumulation. I'm a CMP simp ;) Looking forward to hooking up some of these monolith GPUs!
Yea all good things to look at, it is funny though, if I could go back in time I think I would have bought all 4090s over all the gpus I bought even thought I basically did the same thing with all of those gpus (aka mined on them for 2 years then sold for a profit). I think you will enjoy the 170hxs
for someone like myself who is trying to get at least cmp 170 , I believe the cmp 170hx is going to win another year across the gpu mining community because of wattage differences due to everyone's electrical cost , and if nvidia didn't learned from the deflective cable slot issue from the 4090 series than is certain that is going to be less encouraging for consumers to buy a 5090 going forward especially in todays economy
I agree with you on the 170hx, I thought using the same cable for the 5090 was a mistake but I also dont really think they consider it a consumer gpu (or at least it does not feel that way)
Where the best place to get the 170hx ? Im assuming alibaba, seem to be $410 plus shipping atm , any recomendations , or ones to avoid ? looking to get a case full
IMO I have had the most sucess with the seller I linked, tell her kroot sent you, helps me out a very tiny bit lol. There are other sellers but I have bought all mine from her
Well I went with the 170hx. Most profitable and affordable GPU for mining. And was able to get them much cheaper than ebay. They will go up in value as the daily mining profits increase in 2025.
which card you recommend me to start mining and amount of the cards and the coin to mine on them to earn maximum while electricity i am generating with solar panels please help
i'm whacky i guess but i've never liked buying expensive/powerful cards for mining. still my favorite are the 6600/6600xt/6700xt. they've run cool with almost no fan for YEARS with close to zero failure. so i like the low power, low heat high efficiency cards for set and forget cards i can just leave running at the farm.
So its a risk, now imo its less so a risk due to where we are at in the cycle but its def a risk. The 6600/6600xt are the best amd gpus for home mining iMO so you can't go wrong with thise.
I have a 6750xt and it kills warthog..was doing $39-45 a month now its down a bit so switched over to solo and hit a few blocks in a shorter time than pool mining..6750xt runs 500-750 mh at 200ish waats..great card for the price 12gb
I agree with all points. The 5090 will likely be a hashrate beast, but untouchable. Do you think we'll see a new line of mining dedicated cards in the future?
I think it depends on the money involved, but also there could be mining cards that we have no idea about. That said I think there's wayyy more money in ai right now
Thank you for coming and checking out my content! I'll be posting a video of my daily profits in the coming weeks. Right now you make around 50-75 cents a day per card
Segues are red Hot lol. 170HX has no intrinsic value and is just meh on mining vs 4080/90s so not even close to 5090s and can't even do Core. Besides you consolidating space which I agree is good from a density standpoint, these cards didn't get you much more in earning potential
@ it will not be 2500… is this your first time shopping for a GPU? It’s all bs click baits before a launch. They were saying in 2022 that 4090 was gonna cost 2500-3000 after Nvidia released the 3090ti at 2000 USD. Be patient, there is no way it will cost more than 2k period. 1899 my guess is
@nimaahmadi-s7o I didn't say 2500 in this video, and all you or I can do is Guess and explain our options lol. Nobody has any idea until he goes up on stage and announces the price
Good points brought up with this. I agree with the 170HX being the play this cycle for GPU mining, purely for cost and accessibility.
@@SquidMining prices just went up again so we will see how long that lasts!
agreed

@@stephenmalizia79 yup I agree with that 100 percent, my farm is way smaller lol but I take a similar approach
Damn man, got all the hash! Lol.
?! Can you please post a pic or vid? I'd love to see how you have all that setup. Trying to look at more pro rigs for ideas.

It's gonna be close. 5090 is a BEAST!
The question is will you be able to find one in the wild
