You can never go wrong with just clarinets and bass clarinet during the quiet moments of this piece. I think it's absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to perform it in band this semester.
Playing this for the last concert of high school. I normally don’t really like the pieces we play but this one is a banger, sounds like something out of aot.
i’m obsessed with this piece. we played it for the ballstate honors band a few days ago and it’s sticking with me. it was an honor to play and listen to, thank you
Masterpiece. I am with the North Hills Wind Ensemble and if I wasn’t currently going through my senior year I would totally request to play this next year.
Played alto sax on this, absolutely gorgeous piece with some really cool tension and release moments. One of the best ballads i've ever played, great work!
We performed this for our final high school concert of the school year and for a large group performance, and even earlier in the year at an honor band I was in. En route to getting a Division 1 rating, most of the band starting to tear up at the end (I was CLOSE but the end of the final concert after choir was finished got half of the auditorium (that got me)). Wonderful piece of music. I was glad I was exposed to this the first time at the honor band, because it has stuck with me since.
POV: you’re the oboe soloist who can’t come in on time for the life of them so now you’re listening to this in hopes of not having your solo given to someone else
@@nathanlongstreet9964 Search "O'Connor band 2021 region UIL" (I don't like the area recording). Of course, in typical marching band/drum corps fashion, it's slightly butchered by the instrumentation and style, but it's still really nice.
@nathanlongstreet9964 directors rearrange music like this for their shows a lot. Mine did a rearrangement of True Colors for concert band for our show ballad.

you can go wrong when the clarinets in my band can't play those parts
