Oh man I thought these looked so cool but couldn't find any videos anywhere, thank you for this!
You’re welcome!
Its nice to see a gibson inspired bass with a PROPER bridge instead of that POS three point gibson use.
I use many vintage and new Gibsons and Epiphones with the three point bridge. Never had any problems.
Vintage basses are really great for their price. Thanks for your review
Great honest review. Now I just need to find one!
This bass actually sounds a lot better than the Mike Kerr Signature bass. 😅 I can hear a bit more clarity out of the bridge pickup and with effects!? WOOOOO!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Jonny! Awesome review. Thank you.
Thank-you!
That’s a great sounding short scale. Also, I like how you talk through the different tone options as you’re demoing them 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank-you! I'm enjoying the change in format
Great tones
Nice video. It sounds pretty good. This bass owes a LOT of its looks to the Ovation Magnum III /IV
Great review. Quality knobs and switches are really important to feel and reliability. Plus I agree jatoba is better than laurel. I'm not looking to get another bass, but this one looks great.
It is sort of a cross between a Dan Armstrong and an EB3. With Vintage you know you will be getting something well built and affordable. I see there is also a semi acoustic bass in the same series--also short scale. I'd love to see a review demo/review of that one too, hint, hint!
I like it. How would you compare it to the Rascal?
Love at first sight. But its hard to get one of those outside the UK :(
Cool! Thanks! 🎻✌️🙂😎
I have to say, I think that's a lovely looking bass personally. Elegant but heavy duty. As someone who already has a short scale with p/j ibanez, this would be a good humbucker choice for me. Not 100 percent sold Vs the Harley Benton HB 60 though.
Good vid, I'm not really a short scale guy but it looks and sounds good.
Is it possible to remove the pickguard and still look good?
Love it
The perfect Black 'N' Roll bass
Ok, I was expecting this to not be my cup of tea at all but that mini humbucker has a nice sound. Not sure about the shape and square edges though.
Whats the nut width on this bad boy?
How about a review of that lovely looking white Japanese Jaguar bass on the wall?
How does this compare to the Epiphone Newport? It looks like it's all the things I wanted from the Newport just slightly better where it matters to me (bridge, intonation and weight mostly).
I referred this to the Newport!
Had a newport in for 296€ new. Sounded okay. Needed setup. Was in for a hunt on a bass with Thunderbird pickup. For 300€ and a bit of love and time, could be great. For 500€ soso. Much preferre Squier Mustang Bass.
Now this Vintage...
Had a Les Paul copy a few years back I bought used. Those tuners were absolute crap. Too heavy. Not sure if this bass is a taker.
I have a vintage Tony butler p bass and once I’d swapped pups out it out plays my Mex fender p bass with ease
I've heard they are KILLER basses
@@JonnyDibble I put some emg geezer butlers in it , best pickups around for me
This one sounds great. Less twang !
WOW
Wow! A mudbucker that doesn’t sound like $hit!
When looking at this bass I think EB3..
wow
Do the Eastwood Hooky Viking Pro!!!!?
I’d LOVE to check out time Eastwood basses. We talk about them in this weeks podcast episode!

Ah man. Was excited when I saw this on your Instagram, but it’s a bit of a let down.
With some setup tweaks, it’s a good bass I think 😊
Vintage basses are sooooooooo good....the fit and finish, the components and the quality at its price point is ridiculous.....
Finally we see Jonny with a strap-on 😍😍😍😎
serek vibes.
My hands hurts just by looking at these grub screws in the bridge. How can they just fuck up these tiny details....
This is a total ripoff of the Peter Cook designed Ned Callan bass.
It's guitar companies they copy each other 🤷♂
Sadly, Peter Cook doesn't get enough credit for his UK designed basses. Including those he made for John Entwistle.
@@crankjazz that’s fair I can’t argue with that
Cheers! Have you made a demo of the Revo Supreme Hollowbody Bass? Thanks
@@MarcNeilson1So many gibson design elements there...2+2 headstock, set-neck mahogany construction, eb-3 pickup arrangement, etc...
