dennis ralph well...if your neighbors are Mexican...and have a landscaping business, then you just "one upped" his Stihl, Homolite, Poulan trimmers, edgers, and leaf blowing equipment......as u ride off into the sunrise (cause its 7am on Sunday) Old neighbor "Poncho" has not the slightest clue that his wife is watching from the upstairs bedroom window and her panties are wet.....and the daughter of "Poncho" is watching from her bedroom window too....and shes not wearing any panties...or 👖, Only a 👕 that says " I ❤ Honda" ....
Old school drill for starting a 500: Gas on Choke on Put it in first and rock it back and forth a few times. Neutral Slowly kick over to TDC Get kicker to top of stroke Kick it *hard* Congratulations, you just started a 500 2-stroke. I own a '96 CR500 and it starts every time doing this.
What a fucking monster!!!That thump when it fails to ignite is telling the whole story...and the crackling sound at rpm, is like a snake ready to bite for me...awesome!Great job!
If a beginner road this their skeleton would be separated from their skin when the power band kicked in hahaha Nice build, looks and sounds 100% well done
went on the back of one when I was a kid with my dad and the acceleration of this thing haunts me to this day! no other bike in my mind will scare you like a cr500
I used to have a kx100 about 15 years ago and my girls dad had a cr500 holy shit that bike was a beast! mostly anything will take out a kx100 though, I was young.
got a 2000 500.sits in the shop and every now and again I drag it out, kick it over maybe 10 times and it fire's right up,even with the old gas it'll just sit there and idle.I only want to hear it. great bikes. I bought it in 2004 just to ice race it. they are a handfull.
Good job..nice bike. I had one. Don't remember the year but it was the first upside down fork model. Fantastic bike. Build quality second to nothing. Requires expert riding skills.
That's a MONSTER! LOL I have a 2015 KTM500EXC, and I think your bike is just as good, or even better! Great job putting that together... I wouldn't have given it a chance. LOOKS AND SOUNDS GREAT! Happy riding.
Awesome machine i had one a few years ago now( wish i still had it ). I remember letting a fella who had been there done it all,you know the type ride her once..... needless to say ended up on his ass second gear ha ha.Thanks for sharing you guys enjoy her
This is way more than 'your brother', he's an Artist! Thx for sharing, I used to have a CR500 long ago, and it never ever let me down. Have fun with it, I hope it won't kill you ; )
85 high model? And 125cc dude thats for kids till 12 years old...!!! Everybody in here has a 250 or higher at 15 16 at age and these days everybody has a old 600 cc honda or ktm even kis 12 13 14 years old, watch on youtube bro
you're on track with leaning the bike before you kick start, but after you do that try shifting into 2nd or 3rd and rolling the bike back and forth a few times. Starts on 1st or 2nd kick almost everytime. :) I start my buddys 4 stroke the same way and it pisses him off every time lmao
Nice Biddy Boy! Sounds good to me ,You Could.. put the front brake line INSIDE the fork leg like Honda did at the factory! It stops it snagging on the brier's! Otherwise top notch bud. ;)
since video was uploaded have brake line fitted to front number plate via a small chrome u bolt she not even run in yet only run half gallon of fuel through her thanks for comment thermos O'Flask
Steve Hangen no modern race 450s are very comparable. The added displacement adds lots of low end torque. Won't be beating any 200hp liter bikes with 55-60 hp.
Steve Hangen I got you. 500 is a little much though. I'm sure you can do it but 300s and 250s 2'strokers are the way to go. You can go with 450s as well. Just gotta flick that wrist and open her up and she'll hit hard. Almost ended up on my back not respecting the power of a 450. Was riding some sand trail when we got to a water hole that covered the entire length of the trail. Had to wheelie it. Gave it too much wrist action and all I saw was the sky at one point. Luckily I hit the back brake out of panic and sent her back down when I hit the lip of the other side. My only problem with race bikes are they over heat in the slow stuff.
That makes for a wild ride. I have a 300 for my enduro and a 280 for trials. That 280 can be hell if you whiskey throttle it. At 150lbs it just shoots out from under. 500s are awesome bikes that are equally scary, You definitely have balls if you're out hitting the trails on a bike of that size
Steve Hangen In the future I'll eventually look into those enduro bikes for the trails. That 300 to be specific. For now I'll settle with my 450 and soon a 250 2t or maybe a 125 for the trails. I'm retiring the 450 for the street so Supermoto time. I weigh the same as you do. 156-160lbs. The 450 is hard to ride WOT while standing up. Really have to squeeze your knees. What make is your 280? Bored out?
I've since put on a full pro circut system fitted bracket for front brake line and slackened chain must get some pictures up cheers for all the comments💪💪💪👍👍👍
Those kids sitting on the kerb will one day tell their great-grandchildren that they actually saw a real CR500.
Yeah and be telling them they saw Real engines to
Superb build ! From a basketcase of parts to that finished product simply outstanding !2 strokes 4 ever !
It's Sunday morning 7am, making friends with your neighbors.
kkkkkkkkkkk
dennis ralph 😂😂😂 me

Hahahh
Muy bueno
Priorities of a real man right there. spends all his money restoring a beast, cant afford matching shoes.
probably has the right boot on for kicking the bike over, hurts with tennis shoes.
Aiteki Fagmar thats what i thought at first, same as i do when starting mine (although i only wish it was a 500) but they're just normal shoes
Moto Mutiny Looks like some sort of boot to me.
Try and kick a bike with that much compression with just a shit pair of trainers then you'll see why he's got the boot on lol
Yep I learned that when kicking my kx 250 brand new shoes ripped a massive chunk of rubber right off second kick
I'll bet your neighbours love you.
T tfdsz
🤣🤣
That is an amazing looking bike and a total icon built and restored perfectly. Well done 👍
nice one feller,a classic saved from ruin.
3 things i like about this video the cr500 the honda integra in the drive and the odd kickstart shoe!
+Dimitris Tsinarian rsx type s not integra
That's a hard sob to kick. I can imagine I've never seen one in person
rsx is an integra lmao...
Integra DC5
this bike has only 2 gears:
1st and HOLY FUCK
Old school drill for starting a 500:
Gas on
Choke on
Put it in first and rock it back and forth a few times.
Neutral
Slowly kick over to TDC
Get kicker to top of stroke
Kick it *hard*
Congratulations, you just started a 500 2-stroke. I own a '96 CR500 and it starts every time doing this.
I own xr400 and the steps similar to this lol
An awesome bike and a genuine Type R dc5 Integra/Rsx! I wish my old folks held those interests.
Depending on which direction you ride the 500, you either slow down or speed up the rotation of the earth.
Nice beast!
Damn I miss my 86 500! An absolute joy to obliterate sandpits with! Not a very forgiving beast though. Broke 3 bones during my time with her!
Jeff Walker 86 was the year right? Like the fastest year I heard
@@af-lt5he 84 was no joke also lots of low end torque that came on fast
Que belleza de máquina!!!! Pide a gritos ,llevenme a la tierra,a las pistas por favor!!!!!! Excelente restauración!!!
Very nice job, but I would really prefer using real dirtbike boots when starting a bike that huge XD
Ya if his foot slid off the kick start he's screwed
+Giantsasquatch_GamingHD 14 happened to me it hurt like crazy!
AnDrOiD HaXoR im saying that with experience. When it happened my friend said you'll never do that again, and I was like u can say that again.
yep
no one remembers a coward
What a fucking monster!!!That thump when it fails to ignite is telling the whole story...and the crackling sound at rpm, is like a snake ready to bite for me...awesome!Great job!
Nothing sounds like a CR500. Rode and raced one for 13 years.
Great rebuild ! Congrats ! Seems like a brand-new bike ...
Love it ! - a real bike at last. Great job on the resto.
If a beginner road this their skeleton would be separated from their skin when the power band kicked in hahaha
Nice build, looks and sounds 100% well done
Brilliant Rebuilt, Sounds and Looks like a Excellent Bike. Good Job
my dad has one, he's like 245 lbs and this thing can wheelie with him on it in 5th gear. It's a true monster

love them 500s, they where a beast, great job
went on the back of one when I was a kid with my dad and the acceleration of this thing haunts me to this day! no other bike in my mind will scare you like a cr500
You should buy your brother a matching pair of shoes for all the hard work he put into that bike.
I used to have a kx100 about 15 years ago and my girls dad had a cr500 holy shit that bike was a beast! mostly anything will take out a kx100 though, I was young.
the real "WIDOW MAKER"
Impressive peace of machinery, got to ride to understand... a true beast! Great restore...
got a 2000 500.sits in the shop and every now and again I drag it out, kick it over maybe 10 times and it fire's right up,even with the old
gas it'll just sit there and idle.I only want to hear it. great bikes. I bought it in 2004 just to ice race it. they are a handfull.
I bet the neighbors love him ! Lol I miss my old cr 60, 80 250 .. Good days
sweet bike mate, ur nuts kicking it over with out a proper boot on! when they kick back that hurts like hell! trust me our old 500 used to lol
Good job..nice bike. I had one. Don't remember the year but it was the first upside down fork model. Fantastic bike. Build quality second to nothing. Requires expert riding skills.
Great job, used to love buyin basket cases n bringin em back.
That's a MONSTER! LOL I have a 2015 KTM500EXC, and I think your bike is just as good, or even better! Great job putting that together... I wouldn't have given it a chance. LOOKS AND SOUNDS GREAT! Happy riding.

@4:05 Kid in the Background -> Alahu Akhbar ?
Lol
Looks gorgeous...i always wanted to ride an old style bike from the good old days
I have ktm exc 525 of 2006
JUST BEAUTIFUL OUTSTANDING JOB DUDE.
Great sounding bike and great looking bike.
riding a 2 stroke is when you spend so much money on fuel, that you cant afford to buy the same shoes
Mate well done on the rebuild great job.
Have fun with it, I hope it won't kill you ; )
More drama in that suspenseful start up than most TV shows.
Thanks for bringing the old girl back to life.
DAMN that’s a big spark arrestor
Clean rebuild. Looks great.
get your motocross boots becouse in this kind of motocycle kickstarter can break a leg..
WujaKuBa no u cant lol
Chris Ruiz you can, 500 is a nightmare to kickstart. One little slip and you can end up in serious pain
only if you have pussy legs ;)
Clearly your neighbours are mindblowingly cool.
That sound never gets old..
Le son est juste magnifique 😍😍
My man knows the score with the boot. Snapped ankle for sure lol
front sprocket chain guard cover don't want to get laces caught in their
I respect u both that bike is a beast i love that sound u sir n ur brother did a very good job
Very good job rebuilding it from what it was before
neighbours going to just love that.
Looks the bollocks mate and runs like a dream !!
Beginner bike? I think not, 250 cc 450 cc thats for beginners cr500 is a BEAST nobody can beat this bike
a 450 is not a starter bike
neither 250 or 450 is good beginner bikes. An 85 or 125cc are The Best beginner bikes.
85 high model? And 125cc dude thats for kids till 12 years old...!!!
Everybody in here has a 250 or higher at 15 16 at age and these days everybody has a old 600 cc honda or ktm even kis 12 13 14 years old, watch on youtube bro
125 just for kids and you are probaly a baby end of discusion
this is the dumbest thing I've ever read. my rm 250 (265) would toast any stock cr500
god I'm so jealous that's a beautiful bike.
That is one monster of a bike!!
The most wicked mx bike ever made.
Excellent job boys, that really is a brand new bike 👍👍
Great job and fantastic smoker!!!

Such a heavenly sound
He built a great looking bike
you're on track with leaning the bike before you kick start, but after you do that try shifting into 2nd or 3rd and rolling the bike back and forth a few times. Starts on 1st or 2nd kick almost everytime. :) I start my buddys 4 stroke the same way and it pisses him off every time lmao
Little dude gets so stoked when he hits the rev limiter.lol
2 strokes got the Best sound aniway
Got to love the Hondas. Dc5 there in the background :)
Man, you have 2 honda beasts, CR500 and integra DC5.
Nice bike guys you did a great job
your starting it wrong... piston right over the top, u hear a click, then reload the kickstarter, and then u kick.... fires first time !! :-) Enjoy
Mark Jensen what?
Kirby Dan get TDC (Top Dead Centre) push past it till you hear a clicking noise, release the kick then kick a second time and it should start
Big exemple of a perfect 2 strokes!! nice bike!!!
that kid in the background with the gun is pure merica
I know some people are pretty stupid, but this sir isn't America.
Nice Biddy Boy! Sounds good to me ,You Could.. put the front brake line INSIDE the fork leg like Honda did at the factory!
It stops it snagging on the brier's!
Otherwise top notch bud. ;)
since video was uploaded have brake line fitted to front number plate via a small chrome u bolt she not even run in yet only run half gallon of fuel through her thanks for comment thermos O'Flask
eso si q eran unas buenas motos de 2 tiempos..puras bestias!!!,pero tendra a los vecinos artos con el ruido
Looks like someone having a midlife crisis
Cody Overway you?
Jealous much
Best kind to have!!
@Eric Tasaico the type r on the drive lmfao thats were it is
Builds the biggest baddest dirt bike just to listen to it idle 🤣
I like the one hiker shoe to kick that beast over, I do the exact same thing on my kx 500, wicked build. great job
Some bike. I'd luv to c it on the track. Good-luck with it.
wow great looking bike! you guys kick ass!
In 4 stroke size thats around a 1000. Hitting the power band on one of those is insane.
Steve Hangen no modern race 450s are very comparable. The added displacement adds lots of low end torque. Won't be beating any 200hp liter bikes with 55-60 hp.
I only ride 2 strokes. Riding enduro I need that fast hard hit of the powerband. Same with my trials bike.

To start it easier, roll the kicker halfway through the cycle, and let it come back up. Then give a hard kick and she'll go every time.
Good job, nice bike and very nice car
damn you got some mean toys, cr500 and a type r rsx
Da sound is so sexy! 2-strokes has defenately the best sound!
lil kid in the nackground is priceless
Very nice save and build Great BIKE! ... is that a jdm ITR? must be nice living in the uk with right side streering wheel..

Looks and sounds Awesome 😎
Hahahaha look at the son when he's red lining the bike!!! That's awesome
I love the CR500 , but the DC5 Type R is amazing
I've since put on a full pro circut system fitted bracket for front brake line and slackened chain must get some pictures up cheers for all the comments💪💪💪👍👍👍
