    Still got a 2007 model and is very reliable. My Outlander got about 180k miles with zero issues.

    Just FYI the Mitsubishi Outlander does not come standard with adaptive cruise control.
    Its in the safety pack option for like 2k.
    This car is great, I bought one and love it!

    very nice car. drive like one, turn like one, very quiet, plenty of power to go up hills from oakland california to portland oregon. 7 seat standard!

    Love this 2016 model. What an improvement! I would recommend this vehicle for anyone and not just as a first car. Let's face it most youth's getting their first car will get a used vehicle. This is a great family car IMO for any age.

    What's the difference between AWD and 4WD please? thx

    • @usfanlovesminho5085
      @usfanlovesminho5085 8 лет назад +4

      +TheHumbled 4WD is better for off road driving. All-Wheel Drive (AWD): A drivetrain that employs a front, rear and center differential to provide power to all four wheels of a vehicle. Four-Wheel Drive (4WD): A drivetrain that employs two differentials and a transfer case to provide power to all four wheels of a vehicle

    I heard the base engine actually is better than the v6 engine. more responsive, better fuel.

    9:50 I think I just saw a major flaw in design! The third row seat allowed you to insert the headrest backwards. The top of it was jutting outwards to the point that if you slammed the back hatch shut, it would shatter the glass. A good thing for me to remember if I get this vehicle. Most Outlander trims don't have the automatic lift gate and people will be manually shoving it downward.

      No, he put it in the wrong way. I own one myself in white (HIGHLY recommend, love it lol) but the way he put it is wrong, it should be flipped. Hopefully this clears ur misunderstanding

      Also, idk about the auto lift gate since i have the SE trim (i don't personally like auto lift gates, too slow and bothersome) but in my car, even if i put the headrests on like he did (which was wrong) my trunk still closed perfectly

    • @dpack6339
      @dpack6339 8 лет назад

      Exactly! He put it in the wrong way. That is the design flaw. It shouldn't allow you to do that. I'm glad to hear that you can shut the hatch without the headrests hitting the glass if they are inserted backwards. That would be bad if they did.
      I'm torn between the Outlander and waiting for the 2017 VW Tiguan. The US version will be bigger than the overseas one and could possibly have third row seats. There is a VW dealer not far from me but only one Mitsu dealer a good drive away. (Thinking of maintenance and shuttles to work.)

      +D Pack Ahhh i see, ur point is true. And idk about the tiguan, but ik for sure is that german vehicles are expensive and maintenance will be very costly. i'm pretty sure if u get and mid trim tiguan, it would be the same price as a top GT trim in the mitsubishi outlander. Outlander is standard 3 rows 7 seater and maintenance is very supportive and non-expensive. Mitsu ( and probably all general asian car manufactures) are all very reliable and last long. I myself am not a big fan of german engineering, i'm more of Japanese imports haha but this is all my opinion. I have a friend who has a tiguan and says he loves it!

      I would be good with the SEL or SE trim of the Outlander to have the CVT and no AWC. Better gas mileage and cheaper. CVTs do not bother me. I've previously owned a Prius and never had issues with it.

    • @Mr.56Goldtop
      @Mr.56Goldtop 8 лет назад +1

      All wheel drive (AWD) has all four wheels turning by the drive train at the same time, all of the time. 4 wheel drive (4WD) has only two wheels going, either front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, but you have the option to put the vehicle into 4WD engaging all 4 wheels at once. Good for bad road conditions or if you get stuck, so it's only 4WD when you need it to be. Since AWD is on continually your vehicle will use more gas. But also great in poor road conditions.
