    Wooow it makes a HUUGE diference!! I always thought that you had to have a better camera to get those nice dynamic ranges, but never thought about lightning up the darkes places do you can exposure well. Damn, now I really want to find a team to work with this kind of stuff, love it.

    I was shocked when I saw your appearance, and then I looked down, and viola, its November of 2013! That's when I really realized how young you were and still are. Oh my goodness. It almost gaved me a heart attack. More inspiration : )

    The only issue I have with the first scene is not criticism just a question, do you think the tungsten light distracts from the character and his looking at the labtop? Your videos are great and it is inspiring to see someone so young put together this series of instruction, thank-you......

    Do you determine the f stop first and then the ISO?

    do you have any tips on handling the lighting when filming outside?
    it's really hard to estimate the exact weather or intensity of daylight when you're planning to film outside
    so i'd be glad to have some tips!

    How do you do it for not getting image noise on your footage? I am trying to focus on that right now and I even get a little bit of it even when I light the scene. Greetings from Spain man!

    • @DSLRguide
      @DSLRguide  9 лет назад

      +BA Films I still get a bit of noise, maybe it just doesn't show up on youtube compression

    • @borjaanadon4559
      @borjaanadon4559 9 лет назад

      +DSLRguide so I guess that lighting really helps reducing that noise am I right?

    Hey Simon. Being a part of the generation who is still using the T3i, I have greatly enjoyed your videos and I have learned a ton from them. I was wondering if I could possibly get your opinion on my short film, "Wrath Runs Deep" (on my channel), as I greatly respect your thoughts. Thanks!

  • @thekrazygamerz

    what do you mean when you say "add diffusion"?

    • @DSLRguide
      @DSLRguide  9 лет назад +3

      ***** it's a kind of paper or fabric that you put in front of the light. It just 'softens' it. Try it - just find a white sheet / pillow case, and hold it in front of a lamp - it'll soften/diffuse the shadows :)

    Man, your videos are so good, you're my new teacher, I've already learned so much in just a few days. Were you still using a t3i at this point? can't get mine to ISO 160. Mine only goes 100 200 400 800 1600 3200 6400. I try to go past 200. Thanks man, please keep them up and good luck with your shorts, i'm sure they'll be amazing.

    • @DSLRguide
      @DSLRguide  9 лет назад

      +Intrigue Videos I was using the T3i, but I installed Magic Lantern which has a feature to use other ISOs (160, 320, 640 etc). If you shoot at ISO 100, it will look VERY similar to me shooting at 160 :)

    • @intriguevideos5632
      @intriguevideos5632 9 лет назад

      thanks buddy! I have been using it on ISO 100 :) I meant to say *I try not to go past ISO 200'
      I'm currently shooting a short entirely on my own! starring me, twice because I'm that ambitious. I'll drop you a link when it's done. what camera do you use now? can't wait to see your short!
