This reminded me of that scene in Friends, when Chandler and Rachel cut the cake in half and each one took a half. Rachel started saying that she's not gonna share her half and they made a deal or smthn. Then her cake just fell on the ground and Chandler refused to share his cake. So she dropped his plate. This was frustrating to watch cause she dropped so many cakes 😩 but since everyone has different interpretations, this is mine. To me, I think the cake symbolizes her heart. It fell many times and broke to pieces. And each time she refused to give up on the relationship, so she bakes a new one. That’s like her mending her own heart. Eventually it got to the end where she doesn’t have much left, so she gave it her all hoping it would work. It did, but the cake is much smaller now. Because her heart has been through so much, it’s no longer the same.

For me, the cakes falling mean all the mistakes committed in the relationship, and how she kept coming back and giving her best. And in the end, when the pavement was filled with all the past cakes, she was more careful, so she won't trip with the other cakes, and could make it out of there.

This is how i feel with all the relationships, friendships and otherwise, ive had in my life. Giving so much each time, wondering what i did wrong to mess it all up when they ended. Eventually learning to “let it happen” was the best option. Just letting relationships happen, giving what i can in the present moment, but not too much at once to where theres a huge loss each time that meant nothing. Making sure to take care and make every moment quality over quantity.

When she first trying to make the cakes they were all perfect and it symbolized her trying to put up a fake personality but when she made the last imperfect cake she could finally walk free.
No i think it symbolized that the Person how hurts her get still and the end the cake because she wants to trie it again and again even it‘s doesn‘t work. Because the cakes getting smaller and smaller. And the end she gave her Last tiny cake even to risk that the Person doesn‘t want it. She loves the person so mutch that she gaves everythink. In my mind, the cakes represents her giving the best pieces of herself to someone, just trying to please them but eventually she runs out these perfect things about herself (the ingredients) because she thinks she keeps messing up everything she's giving to this person where in reality, it's the person (her tripping over the steps) that's messing it up. But she only sees it as her making a mistake so she keeps trying and eventually she gives up and just gives the person all she has left, hoping it'll be enough for them.

It’s like when you’re trying to win someone back or earn their trust again after hurting them, but it keeps failing because it’s too much for them too soon and it’s too overwhelming. everyone probably took this video in different ways, but to me this song relates to me, as I've always been the people pleaser, waiting for everyone's approval, and whenever I feel like I'm not doing good enough I start all over again, I feel like I have no control over my life and what makes others happy I should be happy with that and my happiness does not matter.
The bigger cakes meant trying really hard every time, giving more than what you have in yourself, but failing all the time cause that's not who you are, you're just trying to be perfect. But finally, when you just accept what actually you are capable of giving to the one you love, not more, not less, but just what WE HAVE, all of it of WHAT YOU ARE that's got a taste in the smaller cake :')

Perhaps the theme of this song is that you don’t have to entirely give the best version of yourself, perhaps you only need to put out who you are in the most normal way you can be
For me the cake represents her personality. She wants herself perfect. She wants herself with no flaws. That's why the cake kept falling. But when she made an imperfect cake. She accepts her imperfections. According to me, when someone accepts their flaws, then only will they be perfect. And finally she can walk around the world.
