Great work!! I really enjoyed the angles.. made for some interesting shots! My only critique would be it was too long winded, the Suspense didn’t feel natural and rather forced! For something like this a more choppy switches that happen in faster succession would give the feeling of disorientation.. also, maybe also a wide shot of you where the beast is looking through the bushes .. let’s people know who is the prey and who is the predator! Also think about where to bring down the sound to add emphasis on certain words and bring up the sound to create and overwhelming sensation so the audience an somewhat feel how the subject feels! Lastly, maybe bringing the light more around your face to aluminate the side closest better! It took me a few seconds to realise it was you, and because I couldn’t see your eyes I couldn’t connect with your words! Making constant eye contact with the viewer would further add to the uncomfortable constant tension too! But other than that I liked it! The colour grading was spot on and consistent! Well done my friend ☺️🙏🙌🤟
Appreciate the feedback! Definitely I’ll take that into account on any future horror projects. There was definitely a lot more I wished I could have done with this film, but It was just me working on it so I was a bit limited in terms of the things I could do. I really do wish I had somebody with me to man camera to incorporate some movement and then had another person playing the monster. Maybe I’ll have to do sequel lol.
@@EricMaloneyFilmmaker absolutely! I totally agree, maybe a gimble might be a good idea! I have the DJI RS2 with Raven eye, you can control the movement though your phone and pre set the movements too! You can also use it as an external monitor too! Something with looking into! It’s pricey but it’s an amazing tool
@@EricMaloneyFilmmaker it’s definitely worth the investment, it’s also future proof! It’s able to take bigger cameras and lenses too! Stays completely stable up to 100mm which is crazy lol what kind of films are you planning on making? ☺️🙏
I’ll add it to my next B&H cart lol. I have a bunch of smaller and larger projects I want to work on. A lot of the smaller projects will be scenes from feature film/mini series ideas I’m writing. The larger projects are more 20-30 minute short films I’d like to bring to film festivals.

I’ve been looking at the RS2. Maybe around the fall I’ll invest in it. I really want to get behind the camera more with upcoming films
