Eric, I didn't know that you can slow cook frankfurters in the first place, even on a grill! I don't know if 7-11 does that as well, even though they don't actually do that, during the rotations.

Best way to cook a hotdog is put forks in the ends, cut the wire off an old toaster, strip the ends and rap around the forks, then plug it in wait, and unplug before it bursts open. Once you have it setup you can cook them fast.

Aaron if you get on the internet. You may be able to find a hotdog cooker along the line of what you’re describing. I don’t remember the name of it but it was beige with a clear plastic cover that it slid into. Cooked about 5 at a time. All electric ⚡️. They were pretty good to but you could taste the effect from the electricity. This was 1970’s stuff. Along with the single hot sandwich maker. Now that’s good eating 😊

Tools in action Get a flat board cut the middle section of metal coat hanger out. Nail that to the board put the cord one wire on each coat hanger. Do Not let Them Touch!!!! Place hotdog on each end of the hanger. Again make sure that no metal is touching any other piece of metal. Plug in and immediately remove plug. Cooking time may vary.

@@CSltz This was just something I played with as a teen. I was surprised when it didn't pop a breaker. I wouldn't do it now though the electric taste is preferred to boiled like my mother always cooked them. Now I would just put them on the George Forman grill. I love that I can cook them from frozen on my grill, might do it tomorrow.
