The men and women over 50 in my Italian/Irish family talked like DeNiro. We grew up in Williamsburg, half Dublin Irish and half from Naples on mom’s side or East New York, Brooklyn, Sicilian on Dad’s side.
@imundiclan he is of Albanian-Italian origin and not Irish-Italian. The father was Albanian and emigrated to the USA in the 1940s, the mother was of Sicilian origin; who divorced years later because his father liked to drink alcohol,, a lot of alcohol..!! He said about being Albanian in an interview on the Rai 1 channel in Italy.....

In many that the critics didn't like, I for one always enjoyed all of his acting projects. As a method actor I knew he was intense, hard driven, and tenacious. He could be aloof, stay to himself and that's how many of them before him were and are still. For this on actor Mickey Rourke - who did Angel Heart which I regarded as one of Robert's most creepy and direct in your gut performances - to think this man to this day still keeps a grudge against him - is so ridiculous. First of all, not all actors like each other, 2nd you must respect an actor's space and Mickey should have asked questions instead of taking it so personally - to this day that actor is showing his insecurity which has not ever done him good. In an actor's lifetime if you're so lucky to have a long span of acting roles, there are so many movies that will outshine others but the important thing is the roles never outshine the man, actor himself. He is a humanitarian, if funny and has proven his comedic timing, has always had a religious workout program and remained in shape long after many haven't. In my book he's as good as he was in his younger days and I get why he's not on social media. Kudos to him and thank God the judge gave his ruling for his last wife to not get what she demanded of him. My God how ridiculous is that to spend that much money in a month??? He can now relax, work when he wants without the burden of her extravagances. Thanks.

Not being a fan of gangster movies, I have only seen De Niro in "Stardust". I was amazed that I liked him. I sat all through this Bio thinking surely, I had seen him elsewhere. But no. I think the fault is all mine.
@janberry4516 Kudos for admitting that you didn't know anything about him, yet formed a negative opinion & realized how good he was! We're all guilty of forming bad opinions of ppl, especially celebrities, without watching their work or listening to them talk. Years ago, I didn't like Hillary Clinton and I realized that the only reason for that is that I heard so much negative talk about her. Then I decided to watch her speak, listen to her, read articles about her, and I was ashamed of allowing myself to form an opinion by what I heard. It was then I learned to do my research before I form an opinion of anyone.
Big up to the makers of this documentary. The thing that strikes me is that a lot the films that were said to have flopped or not well received are movies that we bought, rented and loved, films we still talk about. What an amazing talent.
His father was a bisexual. De Niro is a joke. He’s a trained monkey for The Jewish filmmakers who have been hanging the albatross of OC around the neck of all the Italiani. Most of us spend our lives trying to disassociate ourselves from these losers. DeNiro is another flunky actor who believes the acting roles he has been playing. A delusional individual IMOA.

In the limelight's glow, a master on the screen, Robert De Niro, in roles, a legend unseen. With Scorsese's muse, a cinematic dance, Raging Bull's fury, in each nuanced glance. From New York, New York to the Casino's play, A repertoire vast, in a legendary array. Silver Linings, Stone, a diverse embrace, Yet the mobster's shadow, an enduring trace. In the Godfather's realm, Vito Corleone's reign, A character etched, in cinematic terrain. Yet off the set, a mystery enshrouds, Biographer's lens, through life's fleeting clouds. Why hide the personal, the intimate view? A question echoed, in the biographer's cue. Children in tow, a family's embrace, Behind the scenes, a private space. In the Biographer's channel, the tale unfolds, A life examined, in narratives bold. From career's ascent to personal strife, The essence of De Niro, in the biography of life.

@@fadedrose9good for you she is such a nice Lady , I chose to stay a deplorable
How could so many other movies be failures? He’s a great actor.
thats a very good one. congratz man
Great, well done
Big up to the makers of this documentary. The thing that strikes me is that a lot the films that were said to have flopped or not well received are movies that we bought, rented and loved, films we still talk about. What an amazing talent.
His father was a bisexual. De Niro is a joke. He’s a trained monkey for The Jewish filmmakers who have been hanging the albatross of OC around the neck of all the Italiani. Most of us spend our lives trying to disassociate ourselves from these losers. DeNiro is another flunky actor who believes the acting roles he has been playing. A delusional individual IMOA.
The thing that strikes me is the lie that he has friendly charisma Lmao 😂
Really enjoyed this Doc. of such a great actor 👏
Robert De Niro is one of my most favorite actors and now I have decided my movie bucket list will be watching every movie he has done well done Robert well done👏👏👏👏👏👏☮️❤️
De Niro is a great actor! but on the other hand he is a far left liberal nut job!
Make sure you watch The Deer Hunter and Godfather II
The deer hunter was a very very slow movie! so was the godfather! it would take them half a hour to take there coat off! 👎🏽@@anastaciaemilia4026
He is a great actor! but one hell of a nut job on his political views! that's for sure!
He is magnificent. Best gangster actor.
A artist like his father was, is no understatement. A true actor and the best of his field…and a very humble man about his work, that’s his gift 💝
Certainly no understatement - because he's a world-famous actor and his father is unheard of!
He got better and better with age. A genuine down to earth man, a lovely man.
3 Rooms in Manhattan!
Unforgettable! The stillness, the silence.
He turns into a table.
How the hell did once opon a time in America fail one of the best films ever love that film 📽️
For me, Once Upon a Time in America was this best films.
EXACTLY SUCH A GREAT FILM WAT DO CRITICS KNOW ANYWAY LOVE ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA
it was way to long!
Let the actors speak for themselves. I want to hear their voices define who they are, not a narrator who takes it upon himself to speak for them.
It seems to me that he doesn´t give a sh** - pardon my french - if the critics are going to enjoy or not, or if it´s going to hit box office. He likes it , he wants to do it and he does it, period. Gotta love him 😅🥰
I thought I'd seen all of De Niro's movies. After watching this video I realize I'd seen maybe One Fourth of all his films. He's Great. My fav's are De Niro and Al Pacino together. They Click.
In the limelight's glow, a master on the screen,
Robert De Niro, in roles, a legend unseen.
With Scorsese's muse, a cinematic dance,
Raging Bull's fury, in each nuanced glance.
From New York, New York to the Casino's play,
A repertoire vast, in a legendary array.
Silver Linings, Stone, a diverse embrace,
Yet the mobster's shadow, an enduring trace.
In the Godfather's realm, Vito Corleone's reign,
A character etched, in cinematic terrain.
Yet off the set, a mystery enshrouds,
Biographer's lens, through life's fleeting clouds.
Why hide the personal, the intimate view?
A question echoed, in the biographer's cue.
Children in tow, a family's embrace,
Behind the scenes, a private space.
In the Biographer's channel, the tale unfolds,
A life examined, in narratives bold.
From career's ascent to personal strife,
The essence of De Niro, in the biography of life.
~ Very clever indeed. Well done you! Mr. De Niro is a big fave, if not
*_the_* favourite of mine.
Well, I absolutely loved Ronin. So scr*w the rest of the folks that didn’t!😂
Im getting so annoyed by people who do tons of research, but do not research how to pronounce the words correctly
I am starting to think that they are doing it on purpose, it is becoming an epidemic
Jackknife is my favorite DeNiro movie, most critics ignored it.
I made myself laugh ... I'm gay, and without any prior knowledge. When I heard that RD's father was a sculpter and abstract impressionist, and met his wife, RDs mother in P-Town
My immediate thought was "That marriage didn't last, he's gay" .... its P-town FFS
It's the Fire Island of Massachusetts
A single male artist in P-town .... do the math
So when the reason for the dissolution was stated ... I chuckled. It was a perfect mix for an actor like RD
MAGGOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The De Niro narrator should rehearse to get names right. He'll be lucky if Harvey Keitel doesn't hunt him down.
Mr. Robert De Niro also is not absent as any from experienced moments of true pain along with insanity.
This movie born to win is actually very good for us who understand that time😊
I wonder if you can do a Full Biography of Robin Williams??
