I have a pretty binder that holds all of my paperwork, and I have a pretty composition book with graphs of all my kids' subjects. I check off what we do each day, and I can easily see what is slipping through the cracks. I also use colorful pens. These small things help keep my homeschool manageable!
My flex binder 🙂
I have storage boxes (rather small, fits nicely in their closet) to store curriculum samples. When I homeschooled my daughter her first and last year as a senior, we applied to out of state colleges and they wanted to see samples of her work. Had I not just gone through her coursework that year I would have thrown it all out if she had another year of schooling. So now I keep samples for my son. We’ll see if they ask for stuff this go round.
I use a similar flag-tab that I purchased from the dollar store a few years ago, they are different colors, and have an arrow at one end 😊. We also use the correction tape.
One change I made this year is switching to mechanical pencils and erasable gel pens (I have purchased the array of colors, but have found the blue to work the best and last the longest).
My number one must-have is my Yeti rambler! I need my coffee to stay hot! My number two is my planner from Erin Condren, although I’m switching to a Plum Paper planner for the next school year.
I have a couple of twist open, metal pens from Pentel. It takes their quick drying gel refills, which is great for me as a left-handed homeschooling Dad. They've never broken or bled through in my pockets or bags either.
I am ALL about my flags too! They are everywhere and my white out is a must!! Can you do a flip through on your pink notebook?
Definitely wish I had read history through books rather than textbooks as a kid. I know nothing. Reading The Captain's Dog about Lewis and Clark right now.
I found several Case it binders at the thrift store and they have been so helpful in our daily homeschool. I have my own and so do the kiddos. A few years ago I picked up a box of 1200 index cards and think it will last until the last kiddo graduates, lol. And one can never have too many sticky note thingys.
Great suggestions!
Until recently I’ve use page flags or just cut down post-its but found that they never held up BUT NOW I’ve found Avery Tabs… where have these been all my life?! 😂 They are a game changer! Re-positionable, durable, and pretty; worth the larger price tag IMO now that I know how amazing they are haha! 😆
And my Hobonichi planner (it’s my everything planner)
The correction tape also.. Definitely necessary. I found that Bic is better quality over other brands too.
Take it easy on your flare ups! I’ve found extremely helpful to setup the space beside my recliner with everything I need (planner, pens, bible, teacher resources, morning time books, charging cables, etc) so when my RA is flaring, we can still get stuff done and my brain is within reach 😄 lol.
Love to content and encouragement ❤ GB
My ESV Bible - our goal is to underline the entire bible by the time my last child graduates!
Pilot G2 Navy Pen
Anna Vance Homeschool Planner
Epson Eco Tank Printer
Glue Tape
Lentil Click Eraser
Bic Velocity Mechanical Pencil
Colored Pencils
Do you have a video that shows how you use the simple planner from Mardel and their new stickers. I have changed three or four times how I use it and I’m trying to find a way that works for both me and my husband. Since my husband does most of Homeschool. I keep all of the records and trying to keep up with the planner since he doesn’t do that. I’m looking for some ideas on how to use this properly that doesn’t overwhelm me. We do use my father‘s world and apologia, etc. We will have a fifth grader a two-year-old and a newborn in two months time.
Good video. I would be careful about photocopying answer keys though. A lot of materials don’t allow that, copyright law.
