Great video brother 👍😁👊🎣🐟🛶 love the setup and I love Hobie kayaks but here they are astronomically expensive 😂 even the older models I have a Pelican Catch 110HDll which uses a very similar drive 1300 bucks fishing ready plus it was a gift from my wife! Lol and I’m really happy with it haven’t had it a year yet but it has really been fun so far! Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos old and new!! Tight lines my friend 🎣🐟🎣🐟
Thanks mate, yeah thier are some great hobie alternatives on the market and it's good to see. Thanks for the support mate, tight lines for you as well 👍
Nice little "watch to the end" addition! Liked the shot at about 8:25 looking back up at yourself from under water. Cool idea. I would find away to have your plb on you not in the hatch. More accessible is always better with emergency equipment. Keep 'em coming.
Cheers mate, yes, great point, I have another PFD that will accommodate the PLB now. Left the PFD home that day which is why I was nervous about the wind.
Great video mate. How good would it of been to land that threadie. Would that kayak be a good one for a raw learner. I thinking of one. Your thoughts please ??? I've never used a mirage drive though !!!.
Thanks Simon appreciated mate. Yes that would have been my first threadie from a kayak. I have missed a few rippers lately. Yes, the Hobie Outback is a great kayak for new comers to the sport. Rugged, stable, reliable and easy to use. The mirage drives are simple and easy to get in and out. You need to be aware of water depth when the drive is in but you will get an understanding of this in your first couple of trips. Little bit of maintenance on the drive required. Plenty of info on the web/facebook forums and groups for peddle kayaks, not just Hobie. Plenty of great yakkers out there willing to give great advice when buying kayaks. Let me know how you go mate.
nice video!
Thanks Ethan, appreciate your comment mate. Glad you enjoyed the vid 😀
Nice one mate...love the sneaky visitor at the end!
Cheers mate, that was the last chance barra I think.
