Car washes back then used to have filament on the brushes, and unfortunately, there are still some out that do. Filament can cause swirl marks, while the washes these days uses closed cell foam, which is rinsed with every rotation so it can’t hold any dirt or any other particles that can harm the paint on cars.

Nice, looks like a very fancy car wash. Luckily the one I use the most has a touch free drive through, as well as a couple of flapper wheel drive through lanes, and several self wash bays. I’ve watched several detail channels that say the chemicals that they use in these places are the problem and can eventually damage your paint. They all recommend some kind of protective coating to keep the vehicle cleaner for a longer period. Problem is it can be 3 to 5 grand to get it done.

Taking the car to the car wash super clean ready to hit the streets some vehicles can’t fit into the car wash. The best bet is to get a car the clearance.

The problem with the retract is it does not clean the car as well, the brushes hitting the car is what scrubs all the tough spots

I prefer the washes where you park in a bay instead of being pulled by a conveyor belt.

Wraps don't damage paint. My truck is a 99 and has been through tunnel washes no less than 200 times and the paint is perfect. I don't know what else you said, that was wrong enough for me

Chemistry is good for the environment, and I have a 2007 Toyota Matrix in which I go through the wash I work for once or twice a week free wise, and I have never had a problem with my clear coat, haha. I take great care of my vehicle.
