Nursing in Australia
After completing your bsc nursing
There are two ways to get your registration in Australia.
1. OBA (Outcome Based Assessment)
2. Master of Nursing leading to Registration
OBA Process
In March 2020, Bridging program was replaced by OBA.
Steps in OBA.
In this we need to submit our documents to AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Documents include all your bsc or msc documents. In this they will check whether our qualification is equivalent to Australia or not. If not then will be required to successfully complete an outcomes-based assessment (OBA) prior to being eligible to apply for registration. Our Indian study comes under stream B and we have to go through OBA.
GNM holders will come under stream C.
They need to study more to get eligible for OBA, such as graduate certificate.
There is no fee of self check.
To move forward with OBA, we need to pay $640AUD.
After paying that fees, they will provide us with orientation via videos to Australian Culture and its health Care System.
AHPRA will check your documents whether do you have the same documents which you said during your self-Check ( it is called the Portfolio stage). You all your documents are checked, you will be asked to proceed to next stage which is NCLEX.
Your Dashboard on AHPRA website will show you the next step.
Now you need to go and register with Pearson VUE for NCLEX and pay the fees.
Nclex fees is $200USD if you give NCLEX from US and $150 USD more if you give from Another country.This will be done by NCSBN website who conducts NCLEX.
You can give this test from India itself.
You will then get an ATT (Authorisation to Test) to book and schedule the exam.
You can also use this NCLEX test for USA and Canada.
After clearing the NCLEX,
You will be advised to move forward to OSCE.
OSCE is held at Adelaide Health Stimulation
In Adelaide, South Australia.
Fees for OSCE is $4,000AUD.
You will apply tourist visa on the basis of letter to give OSCE.
Tourist visa is of 3 months.
Once you get pass OSCE, you will apply to AHPRA for your registration with a fee around $175AUD.
Now you are an Australian Registered Nurse.

Why helathcare staff in uk leaving nhs hospitals . I heard that it is because of less salary , more workload , understaffing , managers are not paying attention to health care staffs due to all these reasons nhs staffs are leaving their jobs and so becuase of that reason there are so many vacancies are available . There own natives don't work as nurses and they recruit from India and all over globe. Moreover UK can never be trusted they sent a lot of nurses back to India in 2015 and many of them were heart broken and devastated after spending 4_5 year when they were sent back
