Hahahaha! A scroll sawer! A person after my own heart! I've had my scrollsaw for years. I don't use it right now since I'm overseas it is my BABY! ❤️❤️ Still looking for your first pastel drawing 😋

Yes - I was a contributing editor to Creative Woodworks and Crafts scrollsaw magazine for nearly 20 years. :) They are no longer in business, but it was a great starting place for me to get myself 'out here' . :)

@@SheilaLandry I might have some of their literature in a box back in the states. I bought my saw, maybe an Averatec (but can't remember) about 20+ years ago. It's built well enough to play basketball with (well, almost) and there's not a stitch of information about the brand on the internet. Another good company off the radar. Sad. 😜

You are good. I would never be able to let anyone know I'm doing that. They get nervous when I use knives.

Thankyou vary much for the reply, i kind of figured the excalibur would be better but i had a guy try tellling me that the dewalt was better, i no that you can adjust the motor for the front to back motion on the blade, plus I've seen just how smooth they are, and that's a big selling point for me. Thanks for your help:-)

+Ryan FuckYourMom Also - the tilting head feature is really a great convenience. It makes cutting self-framing pieces and pieces like this candle tray infinitely easier! I hope you get your Excalibur. (Maybe "Santa" will help bring it?) ;)

Thankyou sorry about my name don't no how to change it, i want an excalibur so bad plan on getting one in a few months i think there the best could settle for a dewalt but don't want to , love excalibur i have a mastercraft pinned, junk for a high skill level, want to do the fine fret work and can't go to small cuts and have no plans for settling for a cheap saw, you get what you pay for. no vibration would be so nice. Have you truer spyral blades i heard there not as clean of cut is that true?

+Ryan FuckYourMom If it is at all possible, hold out for the Excalibur. I have the DeWalt as well, but the older one with the "Type 1" motor. That saw was made over 15 years ago before the company changed hands several times and was made much better than the ones that are coming out now. I worry about the customer support from DeWalt, as I have heard many, many stories of people who had trouble with them and no support. It makes it difficult for me to recommend.
Another thing is that the Excalibur is far more suited for 'precision' work. There is much less back to front motion of the blade which makes it much easier to do tight corners and very precise work on it. Even if you get the smaller (16") Excalibur you are better off than getting the DeWalt in my opinion. I also recommend Seyco to purchase the saw from (web address is seyco (dot) com ) Ray Seymour is the foremost expert on the Excalibur and the customer support is surpassed by none. He even 'fine tunes' the saw prior to shipping it to you so you are starting off good. I think they have free shipping going on now as well. I do recommend them as the best to buy one from.
I hope this helps you. You can go to my site and look on the 'Free Stuff' page for lots of other articles on blades, saws, and other things. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will be happy to try to help. :) Good luck!
