XG is heavily influenced by TLC. XG is a Japanese all girl Hip Hop and Rap group. They are not boxed into the Kpop industry. They are headquartered in South Korea because of access. Just like moving to LA, New York, or Nashville.
Really, what a question. 1. XG is from Japan 2. Mainly sing in English 3. Music is heavily influenced by R&B/Hip-Hop artists of the 90's& early 2000's let's just say KPOP would love to lay claim to this group but even JPOP can't. XG is their own thing, a new breed of girl group. The K, J, C, .. all this with POP is just a label anyway. It's as stupid as the Generation thing which makes no sense. Example: 4th and 5th generation groups - members are basically the same age and in human terms, same generation. Music hasn't changed, New Jeans music is not much different from 1st gen. S.E.S.. Check it out. The music is the #1 importance, labels are just marketing.
nope, XG isn't Kpop. That's why they're aren't on the top at the moment considering their immense talent. If they were koreans singing in korean they would conquer the world right away but they are not Kpop and that's a good thing because their fans are more down to earth and mature instead of being extreme to the risk of becoming sasaengs. I'm sure they will get the recognition they deserve because everyone involved in this group is passionate and full of talent so be patient, it's coming! They are almost there! ♥
I used to fight and argue over the fact whether xg is k-pop Or not but am done. I don't care, them being kpop Or not isn't gonna change anything. It's even better if they aren't considered kpop atleast they will be free from all those stupid toxic Netizens social media comments . It's even better if they are a global pop, they are gonna be recognized and loved by the whole world. Even after debuting just a few years ago, they are still making such good musics, Surprising us with their hidden skills, each member is equally recognized and skilled and loved, there's no partiality like some girl groups. And trust me i believe there will even be many kpop idols who will become alphaz and will look up to them and take motivation from them
i kind of like how they have every aspect of japanense, korean, and english in them. their mv’s and choreo remind me of k, their fashion reminds me of japan, and their lyrics and songs are in english
Japan has an affinity for Hip-hop and R&B already so it's not hard for them to produce a group like that. However the public there don't see girl groups/idols the same way the West and Korea do,so that's why singing in English makes them different from local idols and accepted by Japan. Avex have already tried to do this before too but going through the K-pop industry was a good move since the local consumers aren't looking for that from their local female idols since the female idol fanbase is mostly otaku/geeks men in Japan and they like something catered specifically for male otakus,in general.
They are all certainly Xtraordinary.💯💪🏻❤️🔥🙏🏻🇬🇧 What a boss group! Beautiful, all unique, talented, sweet, funny and sick AF.🔥 Alphaz!! 🐺 I love how the girls are mostly old heads and love their classic 90s Rap/hip hop. Cocona is just something else, at 16 she could have beaten most 30 -40 year old rappers with a lifetime of experience.👌🏻in two year she's probably levelled up again.😮

theres no invention of "jpop" or "kpop", that is simply just a term that have been developed to be associated with a whole genre of music.
