For a guy who operated in the shadows for so long, it's such a pleasure to hear Ernie talk at length.
Good on you, Julian. As a football fan, I'm hanging on every word.
Perfectly said
interesting to hear the guys in the wings talk about players. good job edelman.
Props to Julian finding 3 different wants to ask the same question
This man is legit a Legend at Avoiding answering the Question
The specialty of that patriots regime. Still hiding information that isn't relevant to hide now
Thank you. I’m 2 and a half minutes in and I’m already annoyed.
A reason why we have 6 rings
@@ChicagoPatriot123 We??? You have zero rings. The NE Patriots have 6 rings
@@ChicagoPatriot123no it’s not, Brady is the reason you gave 6 rings. This guy and the coach were failures on every team they assembled without Brady
i'm still waiting for an answer
🤣🤣🤣
Make your self comfortable lol
Ten seconds in, looked at the comments and saw this, immediately laughed and said this is 10 minutes is going to be wasted
Thank you for saving me my time!!
Ahhaha right lmao
Gotta give props to Ernie.. despite being asked a question that essentially pressured him to say something negative about the patriots organization he answered in a political way where the pats made sure to get the guys they wanted so they didn’t make a bad or regretful decision.. that’s a man who truly has Patriot’s back..
Keep the video's coming Edelnut. 😅😅👏👏👍👍
😂
@@mikewitcombe6507 you just got mossed
And get my hot tub at 103° and
Get my Gatorade
@@DavidBarton777 I was trying to remember the rest of that haha there was something like dont talk to my mom or something I think randy was on the phone with his mom maybe
Eddlenut! 😊
Love it! Like to hear the behind the scenes info
It's AJ Brown. Everyone knows everyone wanted him except one person
Jonathan Kraft? The Nepo baby dumbass?
For me, it’s Ed Reed. That has to be the biggest draft regret in Bill’s time here. 2002 they took Daniel Graham at 21. Real good blocking TE, made a few big plays in the passing game. He was gone after 5 years though. 3 picks later at #24, the Ravens took Reed. And we all know how those next 11 years went
Ed Reed would've been an excellent fit for the Patriots system
No way he was answering that question lol..
We need more Ernie , bill gets all the credit pretty deservingly but it sure seems like Ernie has a lot of knowledge to share
I do feel like the Pats were one of the few teams that could draft a "needed" position as opposed to just taking what everyone considers the best player available. They did it multiple times, and it wasn't always a big need, but a player that worked out better than many drafted in front of him.
Love earnies stories
He doesn't want to say "Taking N'Keal Harry and Joejuan Williams with bionic versions of the same player Harry was slotted to be still on the board in AJ Brown and DK Metcalf. Then picking Yodny Cajoste and Hjalte Froholdt instead of Maxx Crosby."
I'm not convinced AJ or DK would've been successful in NE. There was something very wrong with how they developed outside WRs.
Ofcourse he is no Maxx Crosby, but Froholdt actually turned out to be a starting center
Jon Hannah is on the Mt. Rushmore of pats players
Every episode of this podcast should be Ernie Adams breaking down important games from the Patriots dynasty run.
This is fabulous content!
GREAT SHOW as usual 🥰👍
Old school Pats management: Training our elected officials how to answer questions since way back when. Lol. 😂
Ernie is a character.
Wish you asked Earnie about Hernandez
He did lol asked about florida
@@user-ip9dc4db7o oh I heard it lol I wanted the dirt
I love Ernie everybody loves Ernie but Ernie's probably the only one that didn't really get the question 😁😁😁 what he's saying Ernie is there a guy you could have drafted but you waited one round too many and you missed out on a Hall of Fame type player 😆
Watch every draft and the one player me and my friends watch falling don’t the draft and I thought for sure we would draft was randy moss…we drafted a linebacker who ended up retiring and randy went the next pick to Minnesota…man that was a tuff one..😂😂😂
Who was the player they drafted that wasn’t alive? Holy shit that’s crazy
I can’t find anything about this story online and I trusted Ernie on it happening. Needed a follow up question on that one lol
jefferson was taken 1 pick before us, we traded out of the pick the second the vikings announced their pick
This guy is some storyteller
Ernie fucking rules haha
I’m going to say Steven Jackson in 2004, Eddie Reed in 02 over Daniel Graham, Tyran Matheui, and probably Deebo
Better treat those equipment guys right, some teams will ask obviously
Now makes sense why they never drafted anyone good. They were too busy tryna zig when they thought people were zagging
Is this a new ernie video or clip from the previous one
New, they did another session
@@mrwelch2004 epic!
Did he just not want to answer? Why is that the video title? C'mon Jules, you're better than that!
great draft guys land 3-6th round gems regularly. it sustained the Patriots for years, the guy running this show is a perfect example. Notice what happened when Ernie left?
100%
sick shirt
Do y’all think Ernie and Bill ever got handsy with each other?
Answer the question Ernie. Holy shit
Relax dude he’s old
Hahahaha. The ramblings of a borderline autistic 70 year old. We have to basically read between the lines to hear his answer, essentially “oh yeah we wanted all the really good players that other teams got but it was pointless to think we’d get them until we did so I didn’t think about it” or something like that. It’s like BRUH, just tell us you wanted Cameron Heyward or Mark Ingram or something in 2011 and you just missed out.
He's watching what he's saying so he doesn't offend or disrespect anyone since this new world is filled with snowflakes
@KingMaciass1 How is saying a player going to offend anyone? lol
If you're asked about regrets, talk about your successes instead.
What the hell is this story about a patriot being drafted not alive and how was that asked to be explained upon. Literally can’t find any evidence online and I trust Ernie Adams football mind lol.
Bro is a legend but I'll answer the question. Debo Samuel or AJ Brown over N'Keal Harry...
Learned absolutely NOTHING from this. The video was teased like there was a name that some other team picked instead of the Pats that they really wanted badly, but instead this guy just rambled on about Matt Light and Logan Mankins for 10 minutes...
*Agreed!* I *hate* false / misleading video titles..
Agreed I came here expecting a name or regretful draft decision too.. but Ernie was smart and gave a very political answer. Ernie essentially gave an answer where they got the guys they wanted and didn’t make a mistake or regretful decision in the draft. He did a good job not to say anything negative about the patriots organization even in a question that was pressuring him to say something negative.
Guy didn’t understand the question and there was no follow up question about it🤦🏽♂️. Terrible.
@@redstone5149 Lol nah I think he understood it, he just had 0 insight so he bragged about 2 barely above average linemen to make him and his bf BB look like geniuses just because those 2 didn't cost much.
The more he and BB talk the less I think either of them had anything at all to do with the 6.
I used to think it was 80% BB and 20% TB12. I no longer think that.
They both sound stubborn and clueless.
Ernie ffs.....just answer the question.... Julian....learn to stop the dance
I know this guy doesn't work with the public, but can everyone understand him? I feel like he is leaving out half of the story, because Julian knows what he is talking about?
who was the player drafted that was “not alive” in the 60s?
Aaron Hernandez
So who was the biggest regret?
Zack Martin
Julio
Belichick did draft a lot of trash from
Florida. Aaron Hernandez was not the only one.
I wanna know why they drafted Chad Jackson in the 2nd round in 2006! HUGE BUST
His combine performance was amazing.
Who is the fucking guy
Lamar Jackson
