I'm not a re seller, but I love what you do. When I go to Goodwill I buy the beautiful clear glass a lot and milk glass is my all time favorite. I have a shelving unit made out of acacia wood. I put like 30 coats of varnish on it. I put my milk glass on it. But back to the clear glass, I bake a lot. I give a lot of baking goods away on those clear glass plates. People fall in love with the glass. I also serve Thanksgiving dinner with the clear glass. I wish I could save it all. It's totally sad that it doesn't have re sell value.

I can relate to feeling anxious when too many people are in the aisles, usually just where I want to shop. Then I have to remember it's not my store and I need to share🥰
Danni I'm frankly relieved that you are almost completely moved into your new home. I'm sure the last few months have felt like a whirlwind for you physically and emotionally. The fatigue is definitely showing. I know you still have to unpack everything and start with the decorating at your new place. I know you want to have it done asap so that you and your family have a sense of normalcy, but it's okay to slow it down a little now that you're out of your old place. I'm sure that your resistance is at an all time low, so please take care of yourself. Covid is still a thing so give yourself time to breathe. You've done good mom!
⭐ I actually caught myself holding my breath while watching you rip off that precious note from the box of vintage Angels. I'm so glad the note or cellophane wasn't torn! To me, that note makes it 10 times more valuable. I love the history behind things.

Hi, Danni! I'm glad that you've finished moving everything to your new house! Heisey is the maker of the Orchid piece. The second is Fostoria Chintz. The third with the silver overlay is a Fostoria blank, but I don't know the etch. I'm so glad that you're saving the elegant glass!
@@kw2756 Depression glass was inexpensive and often given away at movie theaters one piece per purchased ticket or gas stations, one piece with a fill up. Some came in oatmeal boxes or powdered soap. The elegant glass is from that same time frame but it was fine glass ware and expensive. Jewelry stores or high end department stores sold it. (I know you didn’t ask me but my name is also Julia!)

Danni, when you are settled and ready for a break……….you and your kids both would absolutely love the Sequoia National Forest. I grew up in the San Joaquin Valley and it was right in our back yard. They are truly amazing to see!

Never have to be picky if it means finding things to do with your kids even if it’s for silly fun. We all love that even when you are working, searching through shelves and videotaping and talking to us, trying to teach us, amuse us and learn for yourself you never forget your kids! On those days when you feel overwhelmed and think you’ve neglected your kids just a little bit remember this…your natural way is to be family oriented. It’s a good influence on us! Hope tomorrow you get time to rest by the pool!

That "Mexican Folk Art Horse" looks exactly like a Peruvian Folk Art Llama my Grandmother brought me one Summer in the late 1960's when she returned from Peru after building and teaching in a school with the Vista/Peace Corps.
Solar lights are available at the dollar & a quarter tree. You’re right about the goblets being Pfaltzgraph. My parents had some of that set. We’ve just lost our parents to and I’m not sure who got them. I live far away. They did save me some things so when gas is affordable I hope to go visit my family. I couldn’t go to the funeral

You're about the only reseller thrifter I watch. Love your knowledge, demeanor, voice and whole approach. Fun to see what brings you joy out of what you see. Today, trying to determine if a dish was cracked, have to ask if you ever use a "ring" test - light tap with something (equivalent to a spoon or table knife handle) to see if it "rings" a bell tone, or if it has a dull "thunk" sound. Seems to be a pretty definitive test.
Oh, and I used to clean coffee pots with salt and ice - amazing how well it works. Might have even done better with vinegar LOL
Awww...I love the Dumbo plush. He's so adorable. I like the Kohl's Cares plush. I got the Snoopy when they came out. I'm a huge Snoopy fan. I love Kristen the Rural Squirrel, she is so sweet and awesome to watch. I think of her everytime I see a Squirrel. Lol Omgoodness I LOVE those pink Aristocrats houseshoes. That's my favorite Disney movie.

The acid etched plate you said was Orchid was right. It is Heisey, tho, not Fostoria. The second piece you picked up, I believe is Chintz made by Fostoria. I could be wrong on that one. Thank you for saving them. They truly are spectacular and under appreciated by most.

Great finds! Love when you say you're going to be picky. It never fails when I say that I am just looking that we find bunches.
I appreciate that you in most cases only get items in really good condition. It's hard to leave something with a chip behind sometimes, but it's reassuring k owing when I buy something from you it will have been looked over very carefully and I know will be a quality piece. I have gotten a few things from you in the past and never have been disappointed with the quality of the items. You can't always see it by video, but when it arrives, there's no question that it's a nice piece.

Oh yeah back to the Thrift the Goodwill. I know you find all sorts of lovely things all over but my favorite spot to watch you shop is Goodwill. I guess I get too distracted by other folks, do love just watching you shop.
The dog was to cut your hotdog and dip cup in the front. It's to encourage kids to eat.
I have never heard you mention your mom living around you before I find that cool, and that she came to help you with your move is even better!!
In older videos her mom was in them but now we respect her privacy they don't live close to each other, but still in the Vegas area.

You are so sweet and fun...please take some rest for you...LOL...on the basket still there...I love really learning the rhythm we do by returning and not buy what is too high! I a couple of years ago bought a winter scene in the Mikasa crystal bowl for my cranberry.sauce...no deal for resale but so happy with it..I know a few older Mikasa patterns are.can be good...I have a leaf shape with gorgeous rose on it china tea cool or petit fours server plate years and years ago at a salvation army...if not good yet for resale and something you like or can use...I loved that crocus plate too...at least they are found for the end user level. But you can only love and use do so much. Yeah on depression elegant glass.
I got a lot of fun things at Pier One back in the day.
Love that you show us things that are unusual, and some of us also do not know what they are, fun to try to figure them out. At 22:01 the blue and white plate on the shelf with the glass dish on it- that is a Blue onion pattern. The semi-round more solid blue shapes in the border are the onions.😁

Every time you tell us you are going to be 'picky' at the Thrift Store ~ I laugh out loud! When I used to resell ~ I would usually put something back before checking out just to prove to myself that I was being 'picky'.

I am in California. So,I love that Sequoia National Park frame. My husband took me there when we were dating. And then we took my daughter and my grandson. It is so beautiful there.

We used to get all of our dog stuffies from Kohls Cares. So much cheaper than actual dog toys and was for a good cause. Loved the Halloween lantern. Great haul!

@@rachelfruhwirth3793 yes it I have been blessed to find most of mine at a local Pink Ladies ( Texas thrift store lol) stem glassware 10 cents each . The only pieces I don’t have are the chip n dip... oil type lamp but that’s ok .. the hunt is the fun of it . Many friends have gifted me pieces . I’m glad to find someone that loves it as much as I do .
Olaf is still quite popular around here, and I think Frozen 3 is coming, not for a couple years though. At least Kristen Bell announced it was.

The horse bookends that picked up are nice folk horses but they are not Dala horses. Dala horses are only made in the Dalarna county of Sweden at two workshops. They were first toys and then became a national symbol of Sweden. My family is from Dalarna and I’ve been fortunate enough to watch them being handcrafted almost the same as they were 100 years ago.
So nice of you to think of your mom and kids when you are thrifting.

I don't think that those were Swedish Dala horses. The pattern was just too ornate and I have never seen a black one. They look Indian to me (as in India.)

Your Goodwill has such good stuff. I live in Austin TX and I struggle to find even a quarter of what you find. But I'm happy for you! Maybe I'll have to visit and shop in Las Vegas someday. :)
A trick that works with glass and pottery to make sure there are no chips, cracks or chiggers... is to use your thumb and index finger and give it a tiny thump or flick. If there is any damage the piece will make a THUD sound. If it is whole and without damage it will ring.
It's a hotdogs cutter and his little bowl on the end is a condiment holder.
