My most important "tip" was to set my daily goal to the right amount for me. When it was too low, I sometimes didn't reach it. When it was too high, I often wouldn't reach it, and then I would just almost quit for a day or two. When I set it just right for me, which right now is 35 minutes a day, I exceed the goal every day. That magic number will be different for everybody.
Sorry. I forgot to record time stamps until almost the end. But this will still help. CONTENTS: 1. Pick your time of day. 2. Watch entire series. 3. Use DS but also get lots of input from other sources. 4. "Embrace the suck." 5. Avoid burnout. 6. Watch easy content, or at least watch very interesting material. 7. Use your time wisely. 8. Get involved in community. 9. Reward yourself. 9:07 10. Get good headphones. 9:38
Thank you for the advice it’s really helpful. I find that the minute I wake up I put in my ear buds and watch 30 minutes of DS so half my goal is completed before I get out of bed. I’m early on in my journey and my salt goal is 1 hour per day. I then find it easy to complete the other 30 minutes while I have a cup of tea etc during the day.
@RosaleenCarter-ei9he that's essentially what I do! My bare minimum goal is 1 hour which can easily be done throughout the day if you get that headstart in the morning whilst getting ready for the day. 🙂

I love this. I need to figure out my magic number. I think it's around an hour.
Great tips! Thank you!
You're welcome!

The burnout thing is real I always switch hobbies a lot after burning out of one it’s an adhd thing
Do you turn on the subtitles when you watch DS videos?
No. I believe the recommendation from Dreaming Spanish themselves is to not use subtitles at all.
What’s the name of the RUclipsr who’s crossed America please? I’d like to save it for later on in my journey.
@RosaleenCarter-ei9he Ramilla de Aventura. It's a great series and he does really entertaining travel videos that aren't in that series too
@@DavidLearnsSpanish-lu2tb thank you!
