You have to pay to not have ads. That's how RUclips works. That's how the content creators get paid. You don't think that he's putting all this work into it and not wanting to get paid do you?
I understand that, but I also believe that there are settings for ads where creators can specify so that ads only play in the beginning and not in the middle or the end. If this is not within the control of the creator then I apologise.

@@vaneruizm hi, yes I've listened to a lot of the older ones but an occasional new shorter one would add variety. I listen to my favourite 3 or 4 most nights.
Generally really enjoy the stories and they really help in going to sleep. However, this story was distressing. The pagan earth goddess reminded me of the true nature of the earth goddess in the movie The Thirteenth Warrior. It was not good.
