- Thought i'd try to go for a hint of Leica monochrome on my Lumix S5 this time. The L mount has ties to Leica so why not have a go!
Share on Instagram with @nataliesphotojournal so I can see all your results from the simulation!

Proved in a Lumix Gx9 and works like heaven!! Beautiful straight out the camera photos! Thanks
Glad to hear it worked on other Lumix cameras!
Just popped the recipe in. Works a treat. Thanks for that.
Glad you like it!
Fantastic Natalie , will be heading to the lakes next week and two Carnival parades over the weekend and will definitely give those simulations a try :)
Hope you have a great trip! Really enjoying this out of camera stuff!
I love these images, I love the retro film look - thankyou. I'm going to apply your settings for a walk this weekend. The S5 is a 👍 camera - but I'll be using my wee gx9. Thanks again. 😊
Thanks! Hope you have a lovely walk, and get some great shot!
Lovely! Thank you so much... Love your "recipe"
This is perfect, thanks!
Thanks so much really great 😀
No problem and thanks! 👍
Can you do this with Lumix G880? Does it have a picture profile settings?
I checked the GX 880 manual, page 229 and it does have a similar raw processor, so in theory you should be able to get a similar effect, however it seems to lack the grain options. You could kind of simulate that by increasing the ISO a little higher than normal to introduce noise.

@@NatsWright Thank you so much
Great tip, would be great to see a Leica colour video for the s5
Should be possible, as the look of an image is often from the contrast and luminance of the colours!
Thanks for this great video! I was never happy with the 'flat' B&W files coming out of Lumix cameras. Images turn out a bit too dark to my taste on L Monochrome so I applied your settings on L Monochrome S. The result is exactly what I was looking for indoors, should do some test outside later. Question now is to add the grain or not, I am not sure yet.
Thankyou and glad it worked for you! Definitely play around with the settings, that's part of the fun
Natalie, I’d really liked to see your take on a Velvia film simulation on the Lumix.
I'll give it a go! Never been a fan of velvia, but always a first for enerything!
Hi Natalie , I wonder have you ever tried to simulate Kodachrome film in S5 ?
Not tried that one, but i'll look into it and see what I can come up with, will do a video too.
@@NatsWright That would be nice!
