Hussband in America - 45 degrees and raining in Everett, Wash. We were in Tagaytay about 12 years ago for a week. We went to
the Puzzle house, took the wet ride out to the Volcano Island. We did not take the horse ride to the top to look down. Some of the new
fancy Condos were just going up. Because of the cool weather it is going to be an expensive place to own a home. BUT NICE.
My first time watching this channel and outrightly fell in inlove with their genuine appreciation of the things around them. These are real people😊

Nox was correct if GP said bulalo in the US is better then you’ll get hate, mainly because the meat in bulalo in the US isnt as good as the meat in Philippines, unless the place in the US used top notch high quality meat and veggies. Local produce also contributes to different taste of the bulalo that the US bulalo cant have.

bakery and I could go in and get a fresh cream puff, probably for 20 cents to maybe a quarter. It was so long ago that I don't remember
the cost, only how good it was as a treat.

The $20 fee to enter Crosswinds with food credit is new this year to keep the crowds down and maintain the area. In the past Crosswind parking lots would all be full with cars parked up and down the road.

Look for a resort in Caliraya Lake in Laguna. You can go freshwater fishing there.
I’m happy to see Grandpa and the kids are having a blast. The only one I believe that’s not enjoying this trip is the guy who hate Guinea 🐽 😅😊it’s expensive now. Why the guy is complaining about the aircon? It’s the Philippines 🇵🇭 it’s suppose to give you the full effect. It’s disrespectful to offer your Filipino tour guy the leftovers of the food your daughter ate. (Give it to your boys?) Grandpa, you are the greatest. What an awesome place!
We have family that does bait fishing all the time but they use manual string on banka boats local style. There are American style fishing boats for hire but may be more common on islands with lots of expats. Expats in Luzon are not as ocean going i seem to notice.
It's very hard to find fishing areas in the Philippines now adays due to over fishing. You really have to go to remote provinces to do that.

Perhaps next time you could consider taking him to La Bamboo Fishing Cottage, where you can have the fish you catch cooked for you.

the original landscape of talisay batangas, town at the bottom of tagaytay, was buried by lava during the 15th to 18th century eruption, i think? talisay coast was before form part of the open sea until it was closed by eruptions debris. What is now visible is just the remaining crater.

Beef here in the Philippines is almost always grass fed and incured thats probably the reason why it taste better that beef in the US.

The ducks with red warts on the heads are called “ muscovy ducks”. The males have more warts than the females. Their indigenous to South America. You can find feral muscovy ducks in the U.S. and Canada.

Center next especially at night. Whole different level. At the center of it all is their Power Plant Mall. Have dinner at their different dining strips.

@@MomDuty You guys can ride their Golf cart and have a tour around Rockwell Center. At least you get to see the different buildings and newer developments. You never know, you might consider transferring there.
Also, their Power Plant Mall has the most upscale foodcourt mall I’ve seen. Its called The Grid. Right next to it is Din Tai Fung, my all time favorite Chinese resto. And you guys could have wine in one of their outdoor dining strips. Or in Refinery, a resto wine bar a few blocks away from the mall.

You can catch fish in tagaytay lake near the volcano. 😅
We heard there were a few places. But I think a few changed their rules since Covid. We couldn’t find the one that still allows fishing.
Common mistake, the one you focused is not the crater of Taal Volcano, its the one after that. I will send a PM in FB.
