It would have been nice to see the actual minute of sunset - it’s a long video and I felt a bit robbed to see a few misc shots (nice shots I agree) and not able to see the sun gradually go down.
Cecilia, this is maybe my favorite video of yours. Something about the simplicity, the calmness. I don't know why, but this video, this video. And your cinematography! Those closing shots literally brought me to tears, the beauty was so vibrant and overwhelming. I can't thank you enough for your channel.
@Nature And you The climate on Svalbard doesn’t allow trees to survive (several months of solid darkness doesn’t help either), and the landscape is protected and you’re unable to freely dig holes to even attempt it 🌱 they do have some incredible shrubs and Arctic flora though!
I don't like autumn. I don't understand how lots of people seem to say it's their favorite season. I think autumn is the worst season by far. Summer is best, I don't know if winter 2nd worst or 2nd best. I hate when it's wet and cold, which might be most spring and autumn, at least during winter everything is frozen.

Spring is the best season by far. Autumn makes me feel so sad. It gives me a desolate and lonely feeling and I don’t understand how people can love it so much. I do like the cooler weather though.
Stunning views. I live in the desert.🏜 Cecilia has opened a whole new world for me I never knew existed. The whales were amazing. The color of the tundra beyond beautiful. Cecilia, you do such a beautiful job showing us the feeling of your "neighborhood". I live in Dallas, TX, USA and the temperature is still in the high 90 degree fahrenheit area during the day and high 70's at night. Everything is still green and I'm picking peppers and tomatoes from my garden. I grew up in Denver, Colorado, USA and really miss the snow and especially the cooler weather. People don't realize the extra effort it takes to live in a snowy area, I don't miss that, especially a frozen, snowy car. All of your videos are lovely, but there's a special quality about this one, the changing of the time and seasons. Thank you so much! Oh and the whales, I could watch them for hours. In your living room of course.
I would love to spend a year there just to see what it's like. I have a feeling I'd be sad to leave. I don't love the freezing cold but getting to experience the range of weather and sun that you have would be amazing. And having such a view of the ocean right outside the windows would just be... more than I could ask for. What a beautiful land. Your videos are always so well done and beautiful. Svalbard has mild cold temperatures... And mild summer temperature.. the coldest city and place WAs yakutz republic of Siberia and norilsk that they are frozen for 6months and even a boiling water could turn ice just a second exposing it outside
I get the impression that Grim liked the old coffee table better. It was his little safe space that was big enough for him to crawl under and feel cozy.

As someone who lives in Australia, surrounded by lush trees, 10 minutes from the Pacific Ocean and with long hot summer days, the thought of living in a land without a tree or grass and endless months of night...no. Its beautiful where you live and I respect your ability to live there in comfort. It just isnt somehwere I could live without going nuts.

I live in Cape Town South Africa and we have never experienced snow let alone the awesome conditions of Svalbard. My I am 61 and Live with my 30 year old Son and we would both give our eye teeth to live in Svalbard. Enjoy

Beautiful. All of it. We live in the forest with an enormous garden with flowers etc. Couldn’t imagine being in a country without trees, the creators of the oxygen we breath. But Spitsbergen is really beautiful. Totally different but unique.
I was so enamored with the whales breaching but then Grim came over and sniffed the camera and omg that made my morning! LOLOLOL He's fantastic! The whales were too, WOW! To be able to see that out your window must be so delightful! I LOVE the snowed over tundra, but WOW, this autumn color is SO beautiful! I live in Northern California in a valley surrounded by high mountains....in the Fall is when the moon comes up over the east mountains big and bright and on the west mountains there is a patch of evergreens in the middle of the turning colors...my favorite spot to watch during autumn. The air is crisp but the sun still offers some warmth. Soon the leaves will be falling and trick or treaters will be squealing down our street.
