I think you are right and it is time to put it down, I can't find the official lyrics anywhere but at the end of the song its a little slower and you can clearly hear put it down
I always thought "it's time to burn you down"
I cannot accept that River In The Desert's lyrics aren't "a heartbeat for demons" instead of "a heartbeat for tin man"

Great cover but I am pretty sure it is "Time to put it down". First reason it makes more sense in the context of the game and 2nd if you listen to the original at the end when she keeps repeating it and the instruments are fading out you can clearly hear put it down since she is saying it slower. I might be wrong though but I can't find official lyrics anywhere

@@lordkresnik2776 I listened to the live version by the original singer give that a listen. I am pretty sure though there has been no release of official lyrics still the wiki ones are fan guesses including my own
FFXIV had the same problem with lyrics to there stuff on release but they eventually official release the lyrics for stuff on the SE page
@@sophmys7653 There is an official release. The Japanese collector’s edition comes with a booklet of the lyrics. If you look at the fandom link, the source material refers to a scan of the said booklet. It seems the moderators are rather annoyed with people constantly removing the correct lyrics, so the page has been locked lol.
@@SeulkiEG I see nothing like a booklet in the scans it more looks like a prnt screen from word into photo shop. Which is not hard to do at all so until the team behind Persona officially come out with lyrics on there website which they do have its up for debate. I am more going by the live performance by Lyn which I can cleary here put it down.
This imo, is better than the version in game by a good margin.

Did you guys for real hold the songwriter up at gunpoint for the lyrics? There are so many different versions, nobody ever seems to really know, and Atlus doesn't seem to every really release the "real" lyrics.
Atlus had the official lyrics in the booklet that came with the physical OST! Transcriptions of the official lyrics are also on the Megami Tensei wiki.
@@gillstudio Odd that that's not the prevailing narrative regarding Atlus song lyrics. Also, the Megami Tensei wiki was where the lyrics that people think "it's time to put you down" are from, so it's not been proven to be a reliable source
The website will sometimes host unofficial lyrics, if there are no official sources available yet. But, as soon as the physical album of P5R released, they updated it to the correct lyrics and tagged it as "official". They have been pretty speedy about updating those things, from what I've seen.
People tend to bash the site for hosting incorrect lyrics (like when people argued about the Nocturne vocals), but they have never labeled anything as "official" without proper sources, in my experience.
