I don't think BigBang can use the name. All the members have left YG and the company owns the name. Also TOP didn't retire from the entertainment industry in 2019 it was the other one. It's good you don't remember his name. He's dead to us. We pretend he never existed. TOP is in Squid game season 2 he's the one with the purple hair in the newest trailer. TOP left in 2022 seemingly out of nowhere and this song definitely about him as well as to the VIPs. There are so many references BigBang and G dragon career in this song it would take a hour to explain it all. Just the songs he worked in there. Flower road, Still life, Fantastic Baby, Bull shit, Untitled 2014. G dragon is all about wordplay. G just D word is my bond. That's a clever Scarface reference. When Al Pacino character says my word is like my balls. I don't break them for anyone. So he's saying G aka G dragon just has his D or his package and his word is his bond. Also can we just take a second to appreciate the impact of BigBang. Kpop would be unrecognizable if YG didn't give their 1st kpop group creative control. How many things did they bring to the industry? 1) Dyeing their hair bright colors for a comeback 2) Calling EPs mini album 3) Being Self produced and having creative control of their stages 4) Designing lightsticks for fans 5) Having a Rapline 6) Doing solo projects while staying in their group 7) Going to Paris Fashion week and being brand ambassadors. 8) Airport fashion 9) Combining mini albums into a larger project 10) Male idols wearing androgynous or women's clothing. The kings are back.

Truly legendary 🙌 The only part of that i knew was TOP not retiring from the industry but it being the other guy. TOP is still doing stuff on his own from what I had read. That makes sense about not being able to use Big Bang although they did use it at MAMA. I wonder if that was allowed just because they were performing older big bang songs? @JeffReacts12 Yeah, Think because they got YG permission for the performance. G dragon did compose and helped with the rap for Baby monster's Drip so they are still on good working terms.
